(FEB NEWS) Friday, September 29, 2023, the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) held a Community Learning Community Service (BBK) Briefing event with the theme "Building BUMDES Towards Independent Villages" for around 27 5th and 7th semester students of FEB UNAIR with speakers: Dr. (Can) Rian Pramana Suwanda, S.STP., MHP., CHRMP - Head of Village Government Development Division DPMD; Nur Syamsi, SE., MM., MSA., Ak., CA - Head of Regional Research and Innovation Agency (BRIDA) BAPPEDA Gresik; Sulistya Rusgianto, SE, MIF. - Secretary of the Department of Sharia Economics FEB UNAIR; and Dr. Erina Sudaryati, Dra., MS., Ak., CA., CMA - Deputy Chairperson of PKRI FEB UNAIR.
The KKN activity aimed at building BUMDES Towards Independent Villages, it is hoped that through this activity it can contribute to reducing poverty at the village level by helping to build BUMDES (Village-Owned Enterprises) and increasing the economic potential of the community in the area. By helping to build BUMDES, it also means helping to create local jobs and encourage economic growth in villages, which is in accordance with the target of SDG 8, Decent Work and Economic Growth.
By providing opportunities for village communities to be involved in BUMDES, it will certainly help reduce social and economic inequality in the region. That means this activity can also be our support for SDG's 10, Inequality
If the village can become an independent village, it will be able to contribute to the achievement of sustainable cities and settlements by improving the quality of life and village infrastructure.
Form a Partnership between Academics and Local Governments and village communities to achieve sustainable development goals. Is a form of our support for SDG's 17.
Monitoring and evaluating the progress of this KKN activity is certainly also important to always be ensured in the future so that the efforts made produce the desired changes in terms of sustainable development at the village level.
