The national da'i competition once again witnessed the birth of an outstanding young da'i from Universitas Airlangga . Rizqi Alfy Dzikria, a student of the Islamic Economics Study Program, Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR, won first place in the national da'i competition organized by the Islamic Spirituality Student Activity Unit of the Faculty of Law, University of Jember. This achievement solidifies Rizqi's position as a representative of the intellectual generation capable of voicing the values of Islamic propagation, rahmatan lil alamin .
In this national da'i competition, Rizqi went through two rigorous selection stages: the preliminary round and the final round. In the preliminary round, participants were asked to submit a da'wah video on a theme determined by the committee. Rizqi chose the theme "Tolerance and the Limits of Faith," which he based on the reality of socio-religious diversity in Indonesia. The final round took place offline, with a different theme: "Gender Equality from an Islamic Perspective," which Rizqi delivered with an argumentative approach and strong evidence.
Preparations for the national preacher competition were not smooth. Rizqi faced significant challenges as the competition coincided with the final semester exams. With only three days to prepare, he remained determined to submit his best work. He explored references from the Quran, hadith, classical Islamic texts, and contemporary social phenomena. This perseverance was the key to his success in reaching the final round of the national preacher competition.
In his speech at the national preacher competition, Rizqi emphasized the importance of maintaining harmony and mutual respect between religious adherents. "Indonesia was built on diversity. I want to remind you that we can live side by side in a multicultural society, so we need to respect each other without losing our faith," he said enthusiastically. His message contained moral and spiritual strength relevant to the current state of the nation.
In the final of the national preacher competition, Rizqi presented the topic of gender equality in a wise and comprehensive manner. He demonstrated that Islamic values embrace the principle of justice that favors humanity, while also emphasizing the honorable place of women in Islamic history and teachings. His performance captivated the jury and audience, demonstrating his strong argumentative and communication skills.
After being announced as the winner, Rizqi expressed his gratitude and thanks. For him, this event was not just a competition, but a space to share ideas, build networks, and strengthen the spirit of da'wah. He felt proud to stand alongside young preachers from various campuses across Indonesia and represent FEB UNAIR on the national stage.
Rizqi Alfy Dzikria's victory in this competition demonstrates that Islamic Economics students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) are pioneers of social change based on Islamic values. Through this achievement, Rizqi hopes to inspire more young people to integrate spirituality with scholarship. He is committed to continuing his preaching and self-development so he can make a real contribution to the community, the nation, and his beloved alma mater, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga.
