(Feb News) FEB UNAIR again contributed achievements in the opening of 2023. On Sunday (01/22/2023) the night the Grand Final Ambassador of the National Amil Zakat Agency (BAZNAS) of East Java Province was held at the Islamic Center Building Surabaya. Siti Alfia Ayu Rohmayanti, who is currently listed as a student of the MSM FEB UNAIR study program (Batch 57), was elected as the Ambassador of the East Java Baznas Intelligence.
On this occasion, attended by the Head of Baznas RI Colonel (Ret.) Nur Chamdani, Chairperson of East Java Baznas Drs. KH. Roziqi, Waka I Prof. Ali Maschan Moesha, Waka II Drs. KH. Ahsanul Haq, Waka III Dr. KH. Muhammad Zakki and Waka IV Dr. KH. Husnul Khuluq and all staff of East Java Baznas. As well as attending, East Java Deputy Governor Emil Elistianto Dardak along with his wife, Head of East Java Communication and Information Agency Hudiyono and invited guest participants.
Alfia is one of 30 participants who qualified in the grand final round of a total of 148 participants who then participated in a series of quarantine at the Surabaya -Beriar Hotel. From Alfia's statement during quarantine received a lot of knowledge about the science of zakat infaq sodaqoh (ZIS) which was driven by several Amil Zakat Institutions (LAZ) such as the Amil Zakat Institute of the Muhammadiyah (Lazismu) and Amil Zakat Institution Nadhatul Nadhatul Ulama (Lazisnu). Plus the role of academics is also very important in encouraging this development so that when quarantine there is additional material and campus visits at Universitas Airlangga precisely at the Faculty of Economics and Business.
East Java Baznas Ambassador is held in the hope that a form of collaboration between East Java Baznas and youth who are able to become inspirators and promoting zakat drivers as it is known that the potential for zakat in East Java in 2022 is estimated to reach Rp487 billion and will continue to grow in 2023.
