Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair) recorded an extraordinary history of student democracy with the success of the simultaneous student election (Pemira) on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. The Student Election Commission (KPUM) FEB UNAIR led the implementation of Pemira which involved the election of the Chairperson of the Student Association (HIMA) majoring, the Student Legislative Board (BLM), the Student Legislative Board (DELI), as well as the President and President and Vice President. This historic event was held online, through evote.feb.unair.ac.id. This full atmosphere is a background for the election of the new leaders of Feb Unair, bringing new hopes and commitments to maintain unity and progress for all elements in the academic environment. The voting process and vote count was carried out in the Fadjar Notonegoro Hall and was attended directly by the Dean of FEB UNAIR - Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE MSI AK CMA CA and Deputy Dean 1 - Dr. Wisnu Wibowo .
In his remarks, Dr. Wisnu Wibowo , Deputy Dean 1 of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair), sincerely gave appreciation to all FEB students for the success of the Student Raya (Pemira) this year. With extraordinary achievements reaching 90.4% of student participation actively using their voting rights, Dr. Wisnu Wibowo expressed his pride for the high enthusiasm and involvement of students in this democratic process. He hopes that this high percentage of participation will be a encouragement of enthusiasm for the winners of Pemira to carry out their duties with full dedication, strengthen their commitment in bringing positive changes, and carrying out the mandate that has been entrusted by fellow students. The spirit of high participation is expected to be a strong foundation for the continuity of development and progress of the Unair FEB in the future.
In addition, Dean 1 of Feb Unair, Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE MSi Ak CMA CA, he appreciated the success of Pemira who went smoothly and was very professional. Prof. Dian Agustia also gave awards to all participants who had shown their commitment and dedication in maintaining the integrity of the election process. He said congratulations to all the winners entrusted to lead Feb towards the best achievement. Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia manifests her hopes that the new leaders will bring the good name of FEB Unair with full dedication, creating synergy in the heart of Feb.
The candidate pairs who were elected as President and Vice President of BEM FEB UNAIR for the 2024 period were candidate pair number 1 namely Ghufron and Gusti Ken, while for the chair filled by M. Iqbaal and Ahmad Dhiyaulhaq, while the BLM who received the most votes was Khalisah Haudiyah Salsabila, and for the head of the HIMA major, the major was won by the chair of Nusron (Development Economics), Muhammad Zaqy (Accounting) Bahtiar (management), while for the Islamic economy, the most vote vote was won by an empty box so that the decision of the Chairperson of the Islamic Economist Association was returned to the relevant study program.
