The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) recorded an extraordinary history of student democracy with the success of the simultaneous Student General Election (Pemira) on Wednesday, December 6, 2023. The Student General Election Commission (KPUM) of FEB UNAIR led the implementation of the pemira which involved the election of the Chairperson of the Departmental Student Association (Hima), the Student Legislative Body (BLM), the Student Legislative Council (DLM), and the President and Vice President of the Student Executive Board. This historic event was held online, through evote.feb.unair.ac.id. This enthusiastic atmosphere became the background for the election of new leaders of FEB UNAIR, bringing new hope and commitment to maintaining unity and progress for all elements in the academic environment. The voting and vote counting process was carried out in the Fadjar Notonegoro Hall and was attended directly by the Dean of FEB UNAIR – Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE MSi AK CMA CA and Vice Dean 1 – Dr. Wisnu Wibowo .
In his remarks, Dr. Wisnu Wibowo , Vice Dean 1 of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR), sincerely expressed his appreciation to all FEB students for the success of this year's Student Election (Pemira). With an extraordinary achievement of 90.4% of students actively participating in the election, Dr. Wisnu Wibowo expressed his pride in the high enthusiasm and involvement of students in this democratic process. He hopes that this high percentage of participation will be a driving force for the Pemira winners to carry out their duties with full dedication, strengthen their commitment to bringing positive change, and carry out the mandate entrusted by their fellow students. The high spirit of participation is expected to be a strong foundation for the continued development and progress of FEB UNAIR in the future.
In addition, Dean 1 FEB UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE MSi AK CMA CA, appreciated the success of Pemira which ran smoothly and very professionally. Prof. Dian Agustia also gave awards to all participants who have demonstrated their commitment and dedication in maintaining the integrity of the election process. He expressed his congratulations to all winners who are entrusted to lead FEB towards the best achievements. Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia expressed her hope that the new leaders would bring the good name of FEB UNAIR with full dedication, creating synergy within the heart of FEB.

The candidate pair elected as President and Vice President of BEM FEB UNAIR for the 2024 period is candidate pair number 1, namely Ghufron and Gusti Ken, while the DLM seat is filled by M. Iqbaal and Ahmad Dhiyaulhaq, while the BLM who received the most votes is Khalisah Haudiyah Salsabila, and for the Chair of the Department of HIMA won by, Nusron Abdillah (Development Economics), Muhammad Zaqy (Accounting), Radika Bahtiar (Management), while for Islamic Economics the most number of votes was won by the empty box so that the decision of the Chair of the Islamic Economists Association is returned to the relevant Study Program.
