
(FEB NEWS) Surabaya, today — Good news came from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR). At the announcement and award ceremony held today, the BintangLima Team officially won 3rd place (Third Winner) in the APL Sustainability Competition 2025, an international scale innovative idea competition organized by PT Anugerah Pharmindo Lestari (APL). This achievement was achieved by three FEB UNAIR students: Ahmad Reva Dany Fawwaz (Economics 2023), Dhilla Avrylia Utomo (Economics 2023), and Muhammad Rizky Damary (Accounting 2023), who managed to outperform hundreds of participants and reach the Top 5 Best Proposals.
“CoolSafe Chain” Innovation Focuses on SDG 3
In the competition, which recorded the participation of 133 ideas from 54 universities—including two international universities, namely Kyoto University (Japan) and Gent University (Belgium)—the BintangLima Team submitted a proposal entitled “CoolSafe Chain: Intelligent Cold Chain System for Safe and Sustainable Pharmaceutical Logistics.”
This proposal focuses on SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, offering innovations in safe, smart and sustainable pharmaceutical cold chain systems.
Their proposal successfully excelled in four criteria in the presentation slide assessment which weighed 70%, namely Innovativity, Impactfulness, Feasibility, and Scalability.
Competition Journey from October to December 2025
The APL Sustainability Competition 2025 will run from Registration in October 2025 to the Announcement of Winners in December 2025. The selection process will be carried out through several stages, starting with the 1st Selection (Top 20 Ideas) and 2nd Selection based on a 5-minute video and Final Deck, before finally determining the Top 5 Proposals that will advance to the final round.
As finalists, the BintangLima Team must submit their Final Deck no later than December 1, 2025. They will then depart for Jakarta to attend the Presentation Day, which will be held on December 8–10, 2025, from 1:00–4:00 PM WIB, offline at the APL Head Office – World Trade Center 1 Jakarta, 15th Floor.
In the final session, each team was given 10 minutes to present, followed by a question-and-answer session with a panel of judges. All presentations were conducted in English, including the Q&A session, which was also a crucial part of the assessment, with Presentation Delivery and Question Handling weighing 30%.

The judging for this competition was carried out by a team of professionals and experts in the field of sustainability, namely:

The jury's decision is final and cannot be contested. With thorough preparation, strong research, and solid teamwork, the BintangLima Team secured third place and brought home pride to FEB UNAIR.
