Surabaya, Friday, August 8, 2025 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) held its 64th Anniversary Thanksgiving in 2025 as a form of gratitude for the long journey, dedication, and various achievements. This event also served as an important moment to express appreciation to the predecessors who have built a solid foundation for the sustainability and progress of FEB UNAIR, (8/8/2025).
The event was opened with remarks from the Rector Universitas Airlangga, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Madyan, SE, M.Si., M.Fin., who emphasized that the 64th Anniversary is not just a celebration of age, but a moment for reflection and strengthening of relationships. "Since its establishment, FEB UNAIR has produced thousands of graduates who are now active in various strategic fields, becoming leaders, innovators, and drivers of progress. This spirit of thanksgiving is in line with UNAIR's commitment to becoming a world-class university that is Excellent with Morality," he said.
After the speech, the event continued with a prayer together and a tumpeng cutting ceremony by the Dean of FEB UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE, M.Si., Ak., CMA., CA., who was accompanied by the Vice Rector for Resources Universitas Airlangga, Dr. Ardianto, SE, Ak., M.Si. The first tumpeng pieces were handed over to Prof. Dr. Sri Maemunah Soeharto, SE; Karjadi Mintaroem Drs. Ec.MS; and Dr. Edy Juwono Slamet, SE, MA, as a form of respect for their dedication, contribution, and leadership in building FEB UNAIR.
The warm and togetherness atmosphere was even more felt when the Umrah door prize drawing was held, which was won by two FEB UNAIR educational staff, namely Andri Setijawan, SH, and Tririzka Wahyuwidayani, SM. The event was then closed with lunch, social gathering, and the screening of the video "10 Years of the Journey of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga , 2016-2025 Period" which brought the audience to reminisce about the progress of FEB UNAIR over the past decade.
This year, FEB UNAIR carries the 64th Anniversary Logo which reflects decisiveness, sustainability, growth, and forward-looking vision, wrapped in stability and a solid foundation. This logo symbolizes FEB UNAIR as a pillar of education that continues to move, serve, and work to create superior, competitive, and beneficial human resources for society. Visual elements such as sharp thinking, sustainable and synergistic processes, dynamic movements, and main pillars serve as a reminder that this 64-year journey is the result of collective work, commitment, and enthusiasm to continue growing towards a brighter future.
