(FEB NEWS) The Department of Sharia Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Airlangga University, in collaboration with BP Tapera, held a talk show with the theme "The Role of Tapera in Supporting Housing Financing for Low-Income Communities Based on Sharia Principles." The talk show was held on Monday, December 18, 2023, at the Fajar Notonegoro Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business, Airlangga University.
This event was attended by IAEI East Java, lecturers and educational staff of FEB Unair along with undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students of Islamic Economics.
Present to give remarks were Vice Dean II of FEB UNAIR – Prof. Dr. Nisful Laila, and Drs. Adi Setianto, MBA – Commissioner of BP Tapera (D3 FEB UNAIR Alumni), who in their remarks stated that “The FEB building is very magnificent and beautiful. I was amazed. It is different from 40 years ago when I studied here, this means that UNAIR continues to progress and develop. Alhamdulillah.”.
The speakers who delivered the material on the importance of Tapera's role in fulfilling the basic needs of the people were
1. Prof. Dr. Raditya Sukmana, SE., MA - Head of the Doctoral Study Program, Department of Islamic Economics, Universitas Airlangga
2. Prof. Dr. Ir. HM Nadratuzzaman Hosen, MS, M.Ec. - Head of the DPS BP Tapera
3. Ariev Baginda Siregar, MBA - Deputy Commissioner for Tapera Fund Utilization
This activity aims to provide insights to IAEI East Java and Universitas Airlangga to support the research, development, and implementation of BP Tapera programs.
BP Tapera also invites participants from the low-income group to participate in financing comfortable, sharia-compliant housing.
"We hope that Tapera can truly open access for all levels of society to own a comfortable and livable home," said Mr. Dian Berkah, a talk show participant.
The talk show, organized by the Department of Sharia Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Airlangga University, in collaboration with BP Tapera, is a concrete step relevant to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The meeting featured speakers such as Prof. Dr. Raditya Sukmana, SE., MA, Prof. Dr. Ir. HM Nadratuzzaman Hosen, MS, M.Ec., and Ariev Baginda Siregar, MBA, have underlined the importance of Tapera's role in fulfilling the basic needs of the people, which is in line with the SDGs, especially target 11.1 which targets access for everyone to have a safe, decent, and affordable home by 2030. In inviting the participation of participants from the MBR (Low-Income Communities) community, BP Tapera also supports inclusivity and social justice, supporting SDGs 1 and 10. It is hoped that through collaborative efforts like this, Tapera & FEB UNAIR can open access for all levels of society (lecturers, education staff, students and families) to have a comfortable, sharia-compliant home, while contributing to the achievement of SDGs targets holistically.
