(Feb News) Surabaya, 30 November 2023-A total of four doctoral students of the Islamic Economics Study Program at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair) have
participated Dahlia Bonang, Anisa Fadilah Zustika, Ainol Yaqin, and Wempie Yuliane. The main purpose of this activity is to strengthen the quality of student dissertations, by presenting experts who are relevant to the dissertation topic at UUM. In addition, this activity aims to expand academic networks, joint research, and explore related research sources.
One of the highlights of activities is the participation of the delegation in the Word Zakat & Waqf International Forum Conference Annual Meeting (WZWF) at the Raia Alor Setar Hotel on 17-20 October 2023. This event supports the quality improvement of the dissertation and expanding student networks with important figures from all over the world.
The delegation also underwent a series of activities such as visits to the UUM Standing Muzeum, Institute of Investigation and Innovation of Zakat (IPIZ), where the delegation had the opportunity to take part in Colloquium with IPIZ to present the dissertation proposal. In the colloquium activity, the delegation gets a lot of suggestions and input to improve the quality of the dissertation. Another activity that was followed, which was no less interesting was the International Symposium on Social Finance 2023. In the symposium, they had the opportunity to discuss with experts related to their dissertation topics and even won silver medal and bronze medal in poster competition.

In the final stages of the activity, the delegation becomes a guest lecturer in accordance with their respective scientific fields in UUM and carry out private consultation with relevant lecturers. They also discussed with Doctoral IBS UUM students to discuss the topic of dissertation, lecture models, and collaboration research plans.
Delegations returned to Indonesia on Sunday 29 October 2023 after involving themselves in various activities that provide new insights, deepen knowledge, and expand academic networks, and achieve achievements in the field of research. Furthermore, in November 2023 the activity was carried out virtually until November 30, 2023 the activity ended.
