Wednesday, January 8, 2020, the Socialization of the Selection of Rector Candidates Universitas Airlangga 2020 – 2025 was held, which was the 3rd day of the socialization agenda which took place in the Fadjar Notonegoro Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga after previously being held at Campus C, R. 301, Kahuripan Building, 3rd Floor and Campus A, Amec Hall Building, 2nd Floor, Faculty of Medicine. Prof. Dr. Suryanto, M.Si., Psychologist., as the Chair of the Rector Candidate Selection Committee (PSCR) opened the event enthusiastically, he hoped that with this socialization many candidates would register to become Rector Candidates.

Regarding the rector candidates, there was an interesting question during the Q&A session raised by Moderator Muhammad Miftahussurur, dr, M.Kes., Sp. PD., while waiting for questions from the audience.
"Mr. Iman, if we wait until January 30, 2020, what if there are less than 3 candidates?"
With caution and clarity, Iman Prihandono, SH., MH., LL.M., Ph.D. answered, "Wow, that's so pessimistic? Well, that's not allowed. We have to be optimistic, right? If that were to happen, the solution would be to extend the registration period. However, it's hard to imagine that the large Universitas Airlangga , ranked 171st in Asia, 5th in Indonesia, and 651st in the world, could not attract 3 rector candidates to register. Once again, that's hard to imagine, for Unair." He said

Iman Prihandono, SH., MH., LL.M., Ph.D. also explained in more detail in his material starting from the selection process, requirements for rector candidates, stages of selection for rector candidates and so on until the determination of the elected rector. He said that this socialization aims to ensure that the Prospective Rectors understand what the requirements are, so that they meet the qualifications/standards determined by Universitas Airlangga . The Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., MSc., Ak., CMA., CA, also expressed great hope for the smooth running and success of the 2020-2025 Rector Election. In his remarks, he hoped that the entire Academic Community at Universitas Airlangga Universitas Airlangga would welcome the 2020-2025 Rector Election with happiness and full of hope for blessings. So that the elected rector is indeed the right rector to build Universitas Airlangga.
