(HIMA AK NEWS) Saturday, March 15, 2025 – A warm and cheerful atmosphere enveloped the Himmatun Ayat Foundation, Wonorejo, Surabaya, when dozens of volunteers from the Accounting Student Association of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) carried out Social Action 1.0. This activity is a real manifestation of the students' concern for the community, especially the children under the foundation's care, by presenting various educational and recreational activities aimed at increasing the children's joy, creativity, and self-confidence.

Building Children's Interaction and Creativity

The event began at 4:00 PM WIB with an introduction session between volunteers and children from the foundation. The atmosphere quickly lightened as participants interacted, shared stories, and built camaraderie. To boost enthusiasm and camaraderie, participants were encouraged to create a group cheer, creating a positive energy that enlivened the atmosphere.

The activity continued with various educational games aimed at developing social skills and building children's self-confidence. One of the most engaging sessions was painting on key chains, where children freely expressed their creativity through colors and drawings. This activity was not only fun but also helped develop their imagination and fine motor skills.

A Moment of Togetherness in Breaking the Fast and Reflecting on Human Values

As Maghrib prayer approached, all participants gathered to break their fast together, enjoying a simple meal in a communal atmosphere. The event then continued with congregational Maghrib prayers, providing a moment of spiritual reflection that reinforced the values ​​of togetherness, caring, and gratitude among the volunteers and children of the foundation.

Instilling the Values ​​of Caring and Strengthening Character

This activity has a positive impact not only on the children of the foundation but also on the students involved. For the children in their care, this activity helps boost self-confidence, broaden their horizons, and instill the values ​​of cooperation and empathy through direct interaction with the volunteers. Furthermore, creative sessions, such as painting key chains, provide a space for children to express themselves and explore their potential.

Meanwhile, for students, Social Action 1.0 provided a valuable experience in honing their social awareness, communication skills, and leadership skills. Interacting with children from diverse backgrounds opened new perspectives on the importance of making real contributions to society. The program also instilled the value of social responsibility among students, which is expected to serve as a foundation for their future careers and lives.

As the clock struck 7:00 PM WIB, the event came to a close. Before parting ways, the committee presented the children with special gifts as a token of appreciation and affection. The joyful smiles on their faces were proof that this activity had brought joy and left a lasting impression.

Through Social Action 1.0, the Accounting Student Association of FEB UNAIR hopes this program can be the beginning of other, more impactful social activities.
