

(HIMA S1Ak NEWS) Jombang, July 4, 2025 – The External Affairs of the Accounting Student Association (HMA) of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga successfully held the 2025 Village Product Development (PRODES) program in Marmoyo Village, Kabuh District, Jombang Regency, from June 30 to July 4, 2025. This activity is a concrete form of student service to the community, with a focus on strengthening the economic, education, and health sectors.
The program was officially opened with a symbolic ceremony with village officials, followed by a series of educational and interactive activities involving various levels of society. Elementary school students were taught about the 3R principles (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) and held a creativity competition, while cleaning the school library was a concrete effort to support a better learning environment.
Various social activities, such as Quran recitation lessons, morning exercise sessions, and interactive game sessions, helped strengthen the relationship between students and residents. PRODES also presented a seminar on "Village Product Excellence, E-Commerce, and the Role of Village-Owned Enterprises," attended by dozens of residents as an effort to improve economic literacy and the potential for digitalization of local businesses.
Product packaging and marketing training was a major highlight, alongside free health checks, which were enthusiastically received by the community. The event culminated in an artistic performance by village children, the inauguration of the organizing committee, and a jaranan cultural performance, fostering a sense of community.
Through PRODES 2025, Accounting students from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Airlangga University (UNAIR) not only made a tangible contribution to village capacity development but also built emotional closeness and a spirit of collaboration with residents. This program is expected to be the beginning of a sustainable initiative to encourage village independence by strengthening local potential and improving the community's quality of life.
The presence of PRODES 2025 brought positive changes directly felt by the village community. Increased awareness of the importance of environmental management, a spirit of entrepreneurship based on local potential, and active community involvement in each activity session reflected a growing spirit of participation and empowerment. This activity also opened up a space for intergenerational dialogue, encouraging the exchange of ideas and experiences between students and the local community.
