National Sharia Economic Competition (NSEC) is an annual routine activity from KSEI Fresh UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta. Nsec is a national level competition related to Islamic economics for all students in Indonesia. Nsec consists of three branches of competition, namely: Islamic Economic Olympiad, Essay, and Poster. Participants from Nsec are spread from various universities, including: Padjajaran University, Brawijaya University, Raden Intan Lampung State Islamic University, and others. This year's Nsec brought the theme of "Rabbani Economist Role in Realizing Islamic Economic Digitalization Inclusively".
Nsec is carried out in several stages. At the preliminary stage, it is carried out online through the Zoom Meeting and Quizizz by working on individual questions. In the semifinal stage, it is done online through the zoom meeting with a quiz scheme. In the final stage, it was carried out luring at the UIN Raden Mas Said Surakarta campus on 26-27 September 2023 by working on case studies.
Students who participated in the competition were from the Scientia teams consisting of: Diaz Tulus Anandri (042111433099), Mutiara Rahma Cahyani Warli (144221104), and Desiyanti Sagita Rachmahdewi (144221181). The team escaped the preliminary, semifinals, to the final stage. Although initially using private funds, but did not reduce the spirit of this team's struggle.
This activity certainly also supports Universitas Airlangga and Airlangga knights in promoting Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Among the 17 SDGs available, this activity plays a role in the following SDGs: SDGs 4 - Quality Education, SDGs 5 - Gender Equality, and SDGs 17 - Partnership to achieve goals. SDGs 4 - Quality education implemented because in this activity synergized with each other in working and exchanging ideas for the advancement of Islamic economics. SDGs 5 - Gender equality is applied because in this activity also greatly involves gender differences and there is no discrimination at all, all equal and helping each other. SDGs 17 - Partnerships to achieve the goal of this activity are due to the need for cooperation between parties so that this activity runs and produces a positive impact on Indonesia and the world.
