feb unair academic forum 1(Feb News) September 6, 2023, from the Fadjarnotonagoro Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair), held an academic forum event "Towards Extreme Poverty Elimination" 2024, Hybrid, Coordinating between the Coordinating Ministry for Human Development and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenko PMK RI), FEB UNAIR and the National Team for the Acceleration of Poverty Acceleration (TNP22K).

This event is an open event to the public. Present at the event were more than 220 students who were not only from FEB UNAIR, but also from other faculties in Ailangga University, even from other universities such as the East Java "Veterans" National Development University, and also the Petra Christian University.

As the host, Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., MSi., Ak., CMA., CA., - Dean of FEB Airlangga University,
said that Airlangga University, especially FEB Airlangga is very supportive and committed to erase extreme poverty faster. There have been many efforts from UNAIR as well as FEB Airlangga University which includes Tri Dharma Higher Education, has been carried out in order to explore poverty, such as: Airlangga Floating Hospital (RSTKA) which focuses on helping access to health on remote islands. , and dedication in research on extreme poverty.
While Andie Megantara, Ph.D., - Secretary of the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, as Keynote Speaker: Give Speeches that motivate us all. Inviting academics, especially students to be actively involved in research and innovations related to poverty problems.

Andie Megantara also highlighted the importance of collaboration between the government, SOEs, the community, and tertiary institutions in achieving the presidential target to remove extreme poverty in 2024 faster than the actual target, namely in
2030 Where according to Andie Megantara, a guidebook about changing the mindset/way of thinking "poor mental" that does not yet have. "What is our homework now is how to change the mindset of" poor mentality ", because it is not possible to do it from the center, but it needs participation from all groups. We are not expert in that, for this reason the role of the campus is very necessary". Andie Megantara gave an example, such as the journey of KKN students to the villages, students have a key role in educating the community and changing the poor mentality, or the Airlangga brings anthropologist to sit together in formulating a manual.
