RISE FROM FAILURE, B3DJO TEAM FEB UNAIR WINS REGIONAL 1ST PLACE IN THE 2025 ASTRA MOTOR BUSINESS CASE COMPETITION

(FEB NEWS) Surabaya, Thursday, October 2, 2025 – The student team from the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) has once again achieved a proud achievement. This time, the B3djo Team won 1st Place in the Regional (Regional Champion) in the 2025 Astra Motor Business Case Competition (AMBCC) organized by Astra Motor, part of Astra International Tbk. The competition was held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, and the B3djo Team will represent the Semarang Region to advance to the national stage.

The competition attracted diverse student teams from various universities across Indonesia, including experienced teams from outside Semarang who have frequently participated in national and international competitions. The judging panel consisted of representatives from the Astra Motor Semarang Head Office, the Marketing Team, and the Finance Team.

The B3djo Team itself consists of three outstanding students from FEB UNAIR, namely Ahmad Reva Dany Fawwaz and Dhilla Avrylia Utomo from the Undergraduate Program in Economics, and Muhammad Rizky Damary from the Undergraduate Program in Accounting.

AMBCC 2025 was held in a hybrid format, starting with online registration and initial selection, and ending with the final presentation and award ceremony, which took place offline at Astra Motor Semarang. This competition provided a platform for students to share strategic, innovative, and solution-oriented ideas to address the challenges of the modern automotive industry. In addition to honing business analysis and strategy skills, the event also fostered a spirit of sustainability and continuous innovation among the younger generation.

For the B3djo Team, participating in AMBCC 2025 was a truly memorable experience. After several failures in previous competitions, the team learned from their experiences, refined their strategies, and ultimately delivered their best performance, earning the Regional Champion title. The pitching and Q&A session lasted over 1.5 hours, during which the team was rigorously tested by the judges. While challenging, the team members received a wealth of constructive feedback and warm support, making the experience invaluable, both academically and professionally.

The competition went through a rigorous selection process. Starting with the administrative and file selection process, each team was required to meet eligibility requirements and submit supporting documents requested by the committee. Successful teams then received an official business case from Astra Motor to analyze and develop into a strategic solution in the form of a pitch deck. The final stage was the final pitching stage, where each team presented their analysis and business solutions to a panel of judges through a presentation of their ideas, a question-and-answer session, and an in-depth discussion regarding the solution's implementation.

Interestingly, the B3djo Team's struggle took place during the midterm exams (UTS). However, with an unyielding spirit, solid teamwork, and thorough preparation, the team successfully delivered their best performance and secured first place in the regional competition. Now, they are ready to advance to the national stage and compete against 11 other regional teams across Indonesia.
