The East Java FKSPI and the East Java Regional IAI, in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR), held a seminar on "Accountants as Internal Auditors" on September 16, 2022, held at the Soepoyo Hall, 3rd floor of FEB UNAIR. This program involved accounting students and the general public, with the primary goal of developing educational resources, particularly in the field of internal auditing.
The Goes to Campus program in the form of a seminar was opened with remarks by: 1.) Dean of FEB UNAIR – Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia., SE.,M.Si.,Ak. CMA., CA. ; 2.) Head of IAI East Java Region – Prof. Basuki M. Com (HONS)., Ph. D., Ak., CMA., CA; 3.) Head of FKSPI East Java Region – I Putu Sukadana, SE., MM. , to improve the quality of prospective internal auditors in Indonesia.
"The important things that need to be considered in the world of auditing are government risk management and internal control," the following is a quote from the remarks of the Dean of FEB UNAIR, supported by the Head of FKSPI East Java Region, the Head of IAI East Java Region, and the Finance Director of PT. Aneka Jasa Gradika (Petrokimia Gresik Group).
The material was presented by the Finance Director of PT. Aneka Jasa Gradika (Petrokimia Gresik Group) – Mr. Abdullah Sayidi, SE., Ak., CFE., CA., PIA., ERMAP., CCGO., QGIA., with topics discussed including: understanding audits, audit objectives, audit history, internal audits, requirements for a functional auditor, organization, audit scope, risk-based internal audits, internal audits, audit committees, and external audits.
This collaboration aims to provide relevant and applicable knowledge and insights on auditing to all participants, particularly to support their careers. Through this program, the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga supports the sustainable development of SDGs 4 and 17, which address quality education, and cooperation and collaboration to achieve Indonesia's progress.
