“Today, tonight, this second, the happiest is the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga”, that was the opening remarks delivered by Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., MSi., Ak, CMA., CA. in the annual event organized by FEB UNAIR, “INAUGURATION NIGHT – APPRECIATION OF OUTSTANDING STUDENTS FEB UNAIR 2023” to give appreciation to outstanding students of FEB UNAIR 2023, (19/12/2023).

Prof. Dian emphasized that this event was held specifically for the proud students who have achieved achievements for FEB UNAIR. Prof. Dian also cited the message of the President of BEM FEB UNAIR 2022 – Hafizhun Shadiq, that “this is not the end but the beginning, to carve out student achievements in the future”. Prof. Dian also said that through their achievements, one of them, FEB UNAIR can achieve world achievements, named according to the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2023, FEB UNAIR is ranked: Accounting and Finance, 101-150 in the world / number 1 in Indonesia, Economics and Econometrics, 201-250 in the world / number 1 in Indonesia, while for Business and Management Studies, FEB UNAIR is ranked 251-300 in the world and No. 3 in Indonesia.

According to Prof. Dian, student achievement is one of the Main Performance Indicators (IKU) Universitas Airlangga, and in 2023, in terms of student achievement targets, FEB UNAIR has succeeded in exceeding the specified target by producing 552 outstanding students at the National Level and 96 outstanding students at the International Level. Which of course was greeted with very enthusiastic applause from all attendees. The speech ended with a demonstration of a cheer movement by the Head of the Student Achievement Assistance Center (P3M) FEB UNAIR – Angga Erlando, MEc.Dev. with the slogan FEB UNAIR ACHIEVEMENT – “Great Work – Soaring Achievement”.

Also present to deliver a speech at the inauguration night was the Director of Student Affairs Universitas Airlangga – Dr. M. Hadi Shubhan, SH., MH, CN. In his remarks, he congratulated all outstanding students and stated that these achievements are non-curricular achievements, which can be used as a golden ticket (quoting Prof. Dian's statement) in society. These achievements will also lead to further success both in careers and continuing studies.

Symbolically, the Dean of FEB UNAIR – Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., MSI., Ak., CMA., CA. accompanied by the Vice Dean III of FEB UNAIR – Dr. Ahmad Rizki Sridadi, gave appreciation to outstanding students of FEB UNAIR who have made achievements both regionally, nationally and internationally, with a total value of approximately Rp. 375,000,000,- (three hundred and seventy-five million rupiah) represented by 5 outstanding students from the fields of LKTI, Essay, Entrepreneurship, Sports and Arts.
