MTF GOES TO CAMPUS: FEB UNAIR AND MANDIRI TUNAS FINANCE COLLABORATE TO PREPARE STUDENTS FOR THE WORLD OF WORK

(FEB NEWS) Surabaya, October 23, 2025 — The Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) in collaboration with PT Mandiri Tunas Finance (MTF) held the “MTF Goes to Campus: Empowering the Future” program. This program is part of MTF’s initiative to educate students about financial literacy, career readiness, and provide recruitment opportunities through MTF Campus Hiring Batch 20.

The event, held at FEB UNAIR, opened with remarks from the Vice Dean I of FEB UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Tika Widiastuti, SE., M.Si., who expressed her appreciation for the positive partnership between higher education and industry. She emphasized that such activities serve as an important bridge for students to understand professional dynamics from the start of their studies.

"Students need to prepare themselves well before graduation. Through collaborations like this, they can learn directly from industry practitioners about the competencies and character traits needed in the workplace," he said.

The main session featured Pinohadi G. Sumardi, President Director of Mandiri Tunas Finance, who shared insights into the financing industry and the importance of financial literacy among the younger generation. He also introduced various MTF digital innovations, such as MTF One Access and MTF Mobile, which support the efficiency and security of financing services.

"The key isn't how much you earn, but how wisely you manage it. Use your finances for productive purposes, not consumptive ones," Pino told the participants.

The next session was delivered by Makah Indra Purnomo, Head of Human Capital at MTF, who highlighted the importance of career readiness amidst the changing work landscape. He encouraged students to cultivate a growth mindset, adaptability, and a spirit of continuous learning to prepare them for the challenges of the professional world.

“Companies are now looking for individuals who are resilient, adaptable, and able to collaborate across generations,” Makah explained.

The event was interactive, with a Q&A session and quizzes, enthusiastically participated by students. Participants asked questions about financial management, career planning, and strategies for navigating digital transformation in the workplace. The event concluded with the distribution of e-wallet prizes to the top participants in the interactive quiz.

Following the presentation, the event continued with MTF Campicnic, a hands-on recruitment session within Mandiri Tunas Finance's Campus Hiring Batch 20. In this session, participants were divided into groups and participated in Focus Group Discussions (FGDs) as part of the selection process.

Through this program, FEB UNAIR students gain firsthand insights from financial practitioners and the opportunity to expand their career networks. This collaboration demonstrates the synergy between education and industry in supporting the Sustainable Development Goals of Quality Education, Decent Work, and Economic Growth.

"We truly appreciate Mandiri Tunas Finance's commitment to not only focusing on business but also on developing the capacity of the younger generation. We hope this collaboration will continue," concluded the Vice Dean I of FEB UNAIR.
