(FEB NEWS) The Master of Management Program, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (MM FEB UNAIR), once again held a social activity. This time in 2022, specifically on January 16, 2022, at Icon Mall Gresik, the MM FEB UNAIR Program, specifically the Class of 56 Weekend, held an event themed "Driving Sustainability With This Ability" in commemoration of World Environment Day.
In this event, in addition to the Hydroponics Seminar (in collaboration with Petrokimia Gresik) and also a special performance from ABK (Children with Special Needs), the event chaired by Eko Romadianto, was held with the involvement of dozens of students from SLB Bhayangkari II Gresik, to encourage and hone their potential through a Canvas Bag Coloring Competition and a Tumpeng Decorating Competition. Approximately 40 students from SLB Bhayangkari II Gresik, participated in the competition.
According to Eko Romadianto, "Despite various limitations, we must never give up on achieving success. We must remain enthusiastic." Despite the competition, all participants still received prizes as a token of appreciation for their hard work and dedication in carrying out their duties and achieving their goals.
Maya Eko Iskandar, Deputy Chair of the Kemala Bhayangkari Gresik Foundation, echoed this sentiment. She believes this activity can provide a platform for special needs students to develop their talents and abilities, as well as boost their self-confidence.
Meanwhile, according to the Head of the Management Department of FEB UNAIR – Dr. Gancar Candra Premananto, this activity was held as a form of commitment to building human resources, with the form of CSV activities related to the Business Management Concept, so that all parties can mutually benefit.
This activity is one of the real contributions of the Faculty of Economics and Business in supporting: 1. Quality education, where students are able to implement the theories obtained in Business Management lectures through its CSV program 2.) As an effort to reduce inequality, especially in terms of disabilities, through sharing mentoring activities for students with special needs and 3.) a form of support for the 17th SDG, Partnership to achieve goals.
