Thursday, February 29, 2024, the Department of Sharia Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) warmly welcomed a group from the Postgraduate Program of KH. Abdurrahman Wahid State Islamic University Pekalongan, Central Java, for a visit to conduct an applied study related to the accreditation of superior study programs in the Master of Islamic Economics program.
Taking place in the ABC Rapim Room – 1st Floor ABC, FEB UNAIR, the visit, which was held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, starting at 09.00 WIB until finished, aimed to deepen understanding and exchange information regarding the development of superior study programs in the field of Islamic Economics.
During the visit, the Delegation from the Graduate School of UIN KH. Abdurrahman Wahid Pekalongan, led by Prof. Dr. Hj. Susminingsih, M.Ag – Deputy Director of Postgraduate Studies, along with a team of 4 people, was welcomed by the Head of the Department of Islamic Economics – Prof. Dr. Sri Herianingrum, SE, M.Sc.; Secretary of the Department of Islamic Economics – Sulistya Rusgianto, SE., MIF., Ph.D.; and the Coordinator of the Master of Islamic Economics Study Program. The meeting, which took place with great friendliness and familiarity, was filled with in-depth discussions regarding curriculum development, teaching methods, and research in the field of Islamic Economics.
Prof. Dr. Hj. Susminingsih, M.Ag., expressed her appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality provided by the Department of Islamic Economics, Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga. She also expressed her desire to collaborate in the future, encompassing both learning and research. She hopes this visit will be the beginning of a closer collaboration between the two institutions in developing higher education in Indonesia, particularly in the field of Islamic Economics.
We hope this visit will be a significant first step for both institutions in supporting the development of superior study programs in Islamic Economics and improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia.
