mbkm internship feb unair(FEB NEWS) Internships are mandatory for every Universitas Airlangga student to improve their work skills, both soft and hard. The Independent Learning and Independent Campus (MBKM) program, organized by the Ministry of Education and Culture, has greatly assisted Universitas Airlangga Universitas Airlangga students, especially those from the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB UNAIR), in obtaining internships at various companies in Indonesia. Ervinna Yuni Budi L is one of five students from the FEB UNAIR Accounting Undergraduate Program who were selected and passed the internship at PT Syncore Indonesia for the August-December period.

Ervinna, as she is familiarly known, told FEB NEWS on Thursday (November 1) that she first learned about the internship through an email announcement. Ervinna had been hoping to do the internship in her seventh semester after completing her various courses and working on her thesis. She chose PT Syncore Indonesia as her internship location because of the highly promising position, Junior Consultant – Finance at a Public Service Agency (BLUD).

"I dream of becoming a financial and tax consultant. From this internship, I want to learn how consultants work and practice directly as a junior consultant," he said.

During her internship at PT Syncore Indonesia, Ervinna gained valuable experience. One of these was her placement far from her hometown of Sidoarjo, where she was placed at the Jatinangor Community Health Center in Sumedang Regency, a partner of PT Syncore Indonesia. She noted that the staff there provided her with valuable knowledge and helped with various tasks to expedite the work.

"The officers/workers there often work in the field. As someone who doesn't work there, I help a lot with their tasks. Furthermore, I've also been taught a lot about government accounting," said the slender student.

In addition, Ervinna also provided a lot of assistance regarding the system, both the BLUD system and manual recording via Excel to simplify recording there.

"Regarding the system, our task is to assist and complete various skills related to the BLUD system and Excel that the company has previously provided," he continued.

During his internship at PT Syncore Indonesia, he enjoyed his work and gained a lot of knowledge, which he believes also requires self-evaluation regarding shortcomings to further improve his potential and qualities.

"During my internship, my colleagues and I were both originally from accounting backgrounds, and the other workers were mostly from the medical field. We learned a lot from each other. However, I was always happy to be there and give my best. Therefore, I am happy and proud to have been entrusted with an internship at PT Syncore through the MBKM program," he concluded.

Universitas Airlangga specifically the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) UNAIR, has prepared its students to actively engage in internships through various programs, particularly the MBKM program. Various efforts, including open recruitment campaigns at companies offering active internship programs, have been undertaken to provide a platform and opportunities for all students to participate. These activities demonstrate FEB UNAIR's support for implementing Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) 8.
