MBKM INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITIES AT BPJPH

(FEB NEWS) The opportunity for a Structured Internship – MBKM at the Halal Product Guarantee Agency (BPJPH) of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenag RI), is now wide open for students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR), after the signing of the Halal Product Guarantee Cooperation Agreement, between BPJPH Kemenag RI and FEB UNAIR, regarding MBKM and several points regarding the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, (13/7/2022) at the Fadjar Notonagoro Hall, 2nd Floor FEB UNAIR.

The MBKM Internship Program is one of the Merdeka Belajar (Freedom to Learn) activities, based on the policy of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, to provide opportunities for students to experience the world of work directly as preparation for their future careers. 

Through the Structured MBKM Internship Program, students are expected to support and promote the achievement of excellent service at BPJPH. Through Student Internships, BPJPH aims to provide excellent, maximum, and high-quality service to all business actors. Students are expected to implement all the knowledge they have gained on campus and expand their insights in the field where they are interning, thereby making a real contribution to the advancement of BPJPH.

Through this collaborative program, FEB UNAIR aims to provide quality education for its students, by providing opportunities to gain knowledge, gain insight, and hone skills directly in the field, and it is hoped that students will not only be able to improve their hard skills and soft skills, but also have new capacities to become future-ready human resources, build relationships with Independent Campus partners, and become future leaders who value diversity and respect others.

This program is held for 1-2 semesters, with a credit conversion equivalent to 20 credits for 1 semester, so that students can gain work experience and skills as provisions for facing the world after college.

The signing was carried out in a One Day Seminar event: Halal Research Exposure “Research Exposure/Innovation on Halal Alternative Products and Raw Materials: Strengthening the Indonesian Halal Industry, Towards a Halal Producer Center in 2024”, which was attended by lecturers, students (undergraduate, master's, and doctoral students of FEB UNAIR as well as from outside FEB UNAIR), and the public who are concerned with halal products.

The signing procession was carried out by: Dr. Muhammad Aqil Irham, M.Sc as Head of the Halal Product Guarantee Organizing Agency (BPJPH) of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs, accompanied by Dr. H. Mastuki, M.Ag. – Head of the BPJPH Halal Registration and Certification Center of the Indonesian Ministry of Religious Affairs, As for FEB UNAIR by: Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., MSi., Ak. CMA. CA. – Dean of FEB UNAIR accompanied by Dr. Sri Herianingrum, SE., M.Si. – Head of the Department of Sharia Economics FEB UNAIR. The collaboration includes MBKM (Independent Learning, Independent Campus) and several points regarding the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

The One Day Seminar event is an activity designed as a collaboration between various institutions, such as the Department of Sharia Economics FEB UNAIR, UNAIR HALAL CENTER and BPJPH Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, several state universities in Indonesia, such as UIN Malang, UGM and several other universities in East Java, in realizing the support of FEB UNAIR and BPJPH for quality education.
