(Inspirational Story) Surabaya, Monday, October 6, 2025 – Earning a bachelor's degree is certainly a precious moment for every student. This is also the case for Lucky Nastity Puji Astriany, a FEB UNAIR graduate from Jakarta, born on September 18, 2003. Studying isn't just about achieving high academic grades, but also about how a student can balance themselves with non-academic activities.
During his studies, Lucky achieved various achievements, including Top 10 at the 24th Indonesia Accounting Fair 2022 at the University of Indonesia, Top 15 at the Advance Tax Competition 2024 by the East Java IAI, 3rd Place in the Accounting Internal Competition 2023, and 1st Runner-Up in the Accounting Internal Competition 2022. He was also selected as an awardee of Bank Indonesia's New Generation of Indonesia (GenBI), and gained valuable experience as a Business Tax Intern at Deloitte Indonesia. Furthermore, he was also among the top 10 students with the highest GPAs at the September 2025 Graduation Ceremony.
Lucky is also active in organizations, from KMK UNAIR to PKK FEB UNAIR, and also contributes as a committee member for various Accounting Student Association (HIMA) and BEM FEB UNAIR activities. From these experiences, he said he learned a lot about communication, time management, teamwork, and critical thinking.
For Lucky, the key to achieving success is a balance between academic and non-academic pursuits. "Becoming an outstanding student isn't just about grades, but also about honing your soft skills. I try to balance the two through competitions, internships, and organizations," he said.
At his graduation, Lucky advised his juniors not to give up on their studies. "Enjoy life on campus, pursue as much knowledge as possible, because it will all pay off after graduation," he said. He also hoped that FEB UNAIR would continue to produce outstanding students who would benefit the nation and state.
With all his accomplishments, Lucky proves that students can succeed if they dare to try, are willing to work hard, and maintain balance. He is a living example of an inspiring graduate of FEB UNAIR.
