LPS Strengthens Synergy with FEB UNAIR, Encourages Collaboration in Deposit Insurance Education and Research

(FEB NEWS) Surabaya, Thursday, October 16, 2025 — The Deposit Insurance Corporation (LPS) strengthened its synergy with the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) through a strategic meeting discussing opportunities for collaboration in the fields of education, financial literacy, and research related to deposit insurance and bank resolution.

The meeting, held in the Leadership Meeting Room of the ABC Building, 1st Floor, FEB UNAIR, was attended by an LPS delegation led by Bambang S. Hidayat, SE, M.AB, Head of the LPS II Surabaya Representative Office. The LPS II Representative Office's working area covers East Java, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, and parts of Kalimantan.

Also present in the LPS delegation were Fitri Rosi Septiana, SH, M.Kn., Head of the Education, Public Relations, and Institutional Relations Division, and Muhammad Faisal, SE, and Ganang Elang Perkasa, SE, from the Research and Surveillance Division.

The arrival of the LPS group was welcomed directly by the Dean of FEB UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Rudi Purwono, SE, M.Se., along with the faculty leadership, namely Vice Dean I Prof. Dr. Tika Widiastuti, SE, M.Si., Vice Dean II Prof. Dr. Rahmat Setiawan, SE, MM, and Vice Dean III Novrys Suhardianto, SE, MSA., Ak., Ph.D. Also present were the Coordinator of the Vice Dean's Staff, Wahyu Wisnu Wardana, SE, M.Sc., and the Staff of the Vice Dean I, Ida Wijayanti, S.EI., M.SEI.

On that occasion, the two parties discussed strengthening financial literacy, practice-based learning, and opportunities to integrate deposit insurance material into the FEB UNAIR curriculum. The discussion also covered potential collaborations in joint research and talent scouting for students, as concrete steps to support human resource development in the national financial sector.

FEB UNAIR hopes that through this collaboration, students can gain direct understanding of the deposit guarantee mechanism and the stability of the national financial system.

Meanwhile, LPS hopes to contribute to strengthening academic and research capacity that impacts national financial policy. This meeting marks the first step in strengthening the relationship between LPS and FEB UNAIR. Going forward, the two institutions plan to further expand their collaboration through educational programs, seminars, collaborative research, and activities to improve financial literacy for students and the wider community.
