Internships are optional for all Universitas Airlanggastudents. However, they are highly recommended to gain experience and add value. To this end, the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR), is collaborating with the Surabaya City Government Organizational Division to implement the MBKM (Internship with Independent Campus). Edwanda Arifiyana Alkaf is one of 21 students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga , who are currently interning with the Surabaya City Government Organizational Division.

Wanda, as she is familiarly known, told FEB NEWS on Thursday (09/01/2023) that she first learned about the internship announcement for the Implementation of Public Service Innovation and Workload of Surabaya City Government ASN from the DPKKA Unair Instagram. Wanda really wanted to do an internship in the 7th semester while working on her thesis. Choosing the Surabaya City Government Organization Section as her internship location because it is located in Surabaya so it doesn't require going out of town and of course makes it easier to access transportation, accommodation, and so on.
"I chose the Organization Section as my internship location, because I am happy with the program I took this time, namely in the Surabaya City Government Organization Section
Implementation of Public Service Innovation and Workload of ASN of Surabaya City Government, which will certainly give me a lot of experience," said Wanda.
Not only that, according to Wanda, she also gained other experiences that could not be obtained before, namely better understanding how ASN works according to standards and calculating the workload of ASN in the sub-districts, districts, Departments and Regional Governments (Pd) within the Surabaya City Government. Although the internship program can only last for five months, everything went smoothly until the internship program was completed.
The ABK 2023 website is a website for writing job descriptions, frequencies, how long the work takes and targets in each department which is very useful for knowing the Workload of Government ASN. She also said "when I was interning at the Surabaya city government, there were several difficulties that I faced when carrying out duties in the department that I surveyed, in the form of misunderstandings in filling out the ABK 2023 website, because when filling in many staff did not understand how to fill out the Website," she said.
For every difficulty, there's a solution. He believes that the solution is that before recruiting ABK 2023, every department must hold a meeting across all departments to ensure a unified understanding of how to fill out the ABK 2023 website. "Despite the difficulties, I still enjoy my internship every day," Wanda said
