KPPU Holds Commission Assembly Session at FEB

The Indonesian Business Competition Supervisory Commission (KPPU) in collaboration with the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga, held a hearing on case No. 15/KPPU-L/2015 concerning Alleged Violations of Article 22 of Law No. 15 1999 related to 5 (five) tenders for Public Street Lighting (PJU) in Sidoarjo Regency for the 2014 and 2015 fiscal years. 

The session, held on June 16-17, took place in the Tirtodiningrat Hall, Faculty of Economics and Business Campus, Jalan Airlangga No. 4, Surabaya. According to Dr. Wisnu Wibowo, the Coordinator of the Master of Economics Program, this activity was held as a follow-up to a previously established collaboration in the field of teaching, where KPPU Commissioners had become part of the teaching staff for the Industrial Economics course.

The session, led by the Chairperson of the Commission Panel: Prof. Dr. Ir. Tresna P Soemardi, SE, MS and two panel members, R. Kurnia Sya'ranie, SH., MH and Drs. Munrokhim Misanam, MA., Ph.D., is very important in providing additional insight for students in viewing the application of economic theory in resolving business disputes. In the future, this form of cooperation will be developed and enhanced further so that it brings benefits to both parties.
