KPMG Indonesia Cooperated FEB UNAIR Holds Campus Roadshow and Alumni Sharing Session

(FEB NEWS) – On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR), in collaboration with KPMG Indonesia, held the KPMG Indonesia Campus Roadshow at the Soepoyo Hall, 3rd Floor, FEB UNAIR. This event aimed to introduce KPMG Indonesia to students and broaden their horizons regarding career opportunities at a global professional firm.

The event began with remarks from the Head of the Accounting Department of FEB UNAIR, Dr. Wiwik Supratiwi, Dra., M.BA., Ak., who expressed her appreciation for the collaboration with KPMG Indonesia. She hopes this activity can serve as a bridge for students to achieve success in the professional world through the knowledge and skills acquired during their studies. She also emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and industry in creating more applicable learning opportunities.

Next, Mr. Aji Paramartha, Head of People at KPMG Indonesia, delivered remarks. He emphasized the importance of maintaining the enthusiasm and interest of the younger generation in the accounting profession and the opportunities available at KPMG. In his presentation, Mr. Aji reminded students to continue learning and take advantage of every opportunity. "When you step into the world of work, remember that no knowledge is wasted. Keep learning and take advantage of every opportunity to develop," he advised. He also highlighted the importance of professional certification as an added value in the recruitment process at KPMG.

Entering the core of the event, the company profile presentation session was presented by Helina, as KPMG Indonesia's Recruitment Lead. She explained in detail about the history, work culture, and career opportunities offered by KPMG. Next, a talk show themed Transforming Audit: How AI is Shaping the Audit Profession was hosted by FEB UNAIR alumna, Carissa Tjandraatmadja, who currently serves as Audit & Assurance Assistant Manager of KPMG Indonesia. In this session, Carissa shared insights regarding technological developments in the audit world as well as her career experience in a global work environment.

The session continued with an Alumni Sharing Session, where Carissa shared her experiences and the challenges she faced while working at KPMG. She also offered tips and motivation to students interested in joining KPMG in the future. Through a question-and-answer session, participants had the opportunity to engage in direct dialogue and gain valuable insights into preparing themselves for the world of work.

With a collaborative spirit, this activity is a strategic step in equipping FEB UNAIR students with a broader understanding of the professional world, as well as introducing various career opportunities that can be achieved after completing their education.

This activity also reflects a concrete manifestation of the strategic collaboration between the Department of Accounting, FEB UNAIR, and KPMG Indonesia in supporting sustainable development. By providing access to industry-based learning, strengthening career literacy, and conveying information on the importance of professional certification and readiness to face digital transformation in the world of work, this event contributes to expanding the quality of education and encouraging inclusive and sustainable economic growth. Furthermore, the involvement of alumni in the experience-sharing session also demonstrates the importance of cross-sector collaboration between higher education institutions and professional partners as a form of synergy in creating a younger generation that is better prepared to compete globally.
