(Feb News) Thursday, March 9, 2023, Jawa Pos together with the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair) and Bank Indonesia, in this case the Department of Management of FEB UNAIR and the Department of Sharia Economics FEB UNAIR, held the "Jawa Pos Festival Literacy 2023", which East Java regional organizations such as Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), Muhammadiyah and the Sharia Economic Community.
The event which was held for MSMEs, lecturers, and also cross -faculty students in Universitas Airlangga , had the aim as one of the acceleration facilities related to education and literacy of the halal lifestyle ecosystem among the public especially students and UMKM businesses that were expected to be in the future participants could become ambassadors for disseminating information about the Islamic economy ecosystem.
The event was held in 2 sessions, where the first session, sharing session with the theme: Halal Ecosystem Literacy Education, and the second session of the Focus Group Discussion (FGD) session.
Leak Kustiyo - President Director of PT Jawa Pos Koran in his opening remarks, and also Dr. Wisnu Wibowo, SE., M.Sc. -Deputy Dean I FEB Unair, greatly appreciated and welcomed programs in the form of synergy, joint collaborative to increase sharia economic literacy, as well as accelerating halal certification in Indonesia organized by Bank Indonesia, and expressed his hopes, willing to be invited to return in joint collaboration by Bank Indonesia as well as other parties involved, such as BRI Insurance Syariah, in order to continue to actively increase their usefulness for the wider community.
Emil Elistiano Dardak - Deputy Governor of East Java, also gave his appreciation for the participation of Airlangga University, especially FEB Airlangga, BI and Jawa Pos. In organizing the East Java Halal Literacy Festival. Where the Governor and all of its elements have committed to accelerate the development of Islamic economics, and in the development of Islamic economics, it needs to be based on literacy. Where this festival event has the opportunity to be able to make a breakthrough, an encouragement that has a sustainable impact, in spreading literacy about the Islamic economy. And from the results of this event, the province is ready to follow up on recommendations, suggestions or initiatives that emerged from the "Jawa Pos Festival Halal 2023". Present also gave a opening remarks: Arif Hartawan - Leader of the Department of Economics and Finance of Bank Indonesia and Sony Harsono Operational Director of PT. BRI Insurance Indonesia.
Present as the speaker at the sharing session: 1. M. Irfan Sukarna - Deputy Director of the Department of Economics and Finance of Bank Indonesia, brought the Bank Indonesia Islamic Economic Literacy Material; 2. H. Nurhanudin, ST, M.Kom - Chair of the Halal Product Guarantee Information System Team, with the material literacy of halal certificates and halal certificates; 3. Eka Indria Sari - EVP Sharia Business PT. BRI Insurance Indonesia, comes with the material of the financial industry & sharia -based protection products as a lifestyle); and 4. Dr. Tri Siwi Agustina - Chairperson of the Entrepreneurship Center and Industrial Relations of the FEB Universitas Airlangga, present with the material material for the National Halal Economic & Entrepreneurship, where Sulistya Rusgianto, PHD - Secretary of the Department of Sharia Economics, FEB Unair, acted as the moderator.
Hopefully, the "Jawa Pos Festival of Halal 2023", this can be a sustainable synergy and ultimately through the literacy of the Islamic economy and halal certification acceleration, can have a real impact on the prosperity and welfare of the Indonesian people.
