
(Feb News) Thursday, July 8, 2025 - In an effort to strengthen the management of digital communication in the university environment, the Center for Communication and Public Information (PKIP) Universitas Airlangga held a Cyber Security Workshop and Branding Guidelines Social Media on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at the Aseec Tower Meeting Room, Campus B Universitas Airlangga .
The event was officially opened by Dr. Martha Kusumawardhani, Sp.KFR., As Chair of the Center for Communication and Public Information (PKIP) Universitas Airlangga. In his remarks, Dr. Martha conveyed the importance of this activity as a forum to strengthen practical understanding of cyber security at the same time align visual communication guidelines throughout the institutional social media channel. He asserted that the uniformity of digital identity and caution in the management of digital assets is the main key in maintaining the reputation of Airlangga as a World Class University.
The workshop was then followed by the presentation of the first material by Tri Febrianto, Cei, Ceh, Chfi, Ehe, as the Jagagaya Chief Executive Officer (CEO), known as a cyber security expert in the educational environment. In the session, Tri explained various cyber threats that often target university social media accounts, such as phishing, hijacking sessions, to account impersonation. He also presents a real case study and provides preventive strategies that can be applied by the Public Relations Team and social media admin in each work unit.
The second material was delivered by Gesang Manggala Nugraha Putra, SS, SA, M.Hum. (Coordinator of PKIP Unair Media Branding). Gesang reviews thoroughly about the Branding Guidelines of Social Media Universitas Airlangga, including the application of UNAIR visual identity, standard use of logos, typography, communication tone, to technical production of visual and video content. He stressed that visual consistency and narrative are an important part of efforts to build the professional image of institutions in the digital space.
The workshop was attended by the Public Relations Coordinators of the Faculty and Work Units, Education Personnel, and social media admins from various Universitas Airlanggaenvironments, including the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB Unair). The participants seemed enthusiastic to follow the material and were active in the discussion session, especially in conveying obstacles and sharing experiences about the management of each unit's social media accounts.
The event was closed with a group photo session as a form of documentation and collaboration symbols between institutions in strengthening digital security and institutional branding Universitas Airlangga.
