ILHAM ANANDA WAHYUDI, A FEB UNAIR STUDENT WHO WON 2ND PLACE IN THE OJK KEDIRI FINANCIAL LITERACY AMBASSADOR 2025

(FEB NEWS) Surabaya, October 27, 2025 – Another proud achievement was achieved by a student of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR). Ilham Ananda Wahyudi, a student of the Islamic Economics Study Program, class of 2024, successfully won second place in the male category in the 2025 Financial Literacy Ambassador Selection for the OJK Kediri Office, held on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at Kediri City Hall.

This prestigious event, organized by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) Kediri Office, was attended by representatives from 13 regencies/cities within the OJK Kediri jurisdiction. The event also featured a panel of judges from the OJK Kediri, the East Java Indonesia Stock Exchange, and Bank Jatim. The program aims to identify young pioneers capable of spreading financial literacy to the wider community.

According to Ilham, this activity is crucial because there is still a gap between the public's financial literacy and inclusion levels. "Many people already have financial products but don't understand the benefits, risks, rights, and obligations. This often leads to a surge in cases like fraudulent investments and illegal online loans," he explained.

As an Islamic Economics student, Ilham felt compelled to contribute. He implemented four financial literacy projects from June to September 2025. His first project began in June with the creation of online educational content on his personal Instagram account, discussing tips for avoiding illegal investments.

In July, Ilham collaborated with the UNS Community Service Program Group 149 in Gunungsari Tourism Village through an activity titled "Mentoring Digital Marketing Strategy and Financial Literacy Training for MSMEs in the Tourism Sector." He presented simple financial management materials to help MSMEs maintain their business sustainability.

Furthermore, in August, Ilham participated in the "Commemorating Indonesian Savings Day" event in collaboration with the OJK Kediri. Held at the Pendopo Muda Graha in Madiun Regency, he educated students at a local junior high school (SMP) on the importance of saving. In September, he concluded his series of activities with a financial literacy outreach event at SMK PGRI 1 Mejayan, presenting material on banking financial institutions and the differences between conventional and sharia banks.

Ilham's success is inseparable from the knowledge he gained from the 12 OJK financial modules and the knowledge he learned during his studies. Despite facing significant challenges in managing his time between studies, projects, and organizational activities, Ilham successfully completed all his responsibilities.
Adopting the life motto "The best people are those who are beneficial to others," Ilham hopes to continue contributing to activities in the financial sector and become a pioneer of goodness in suppressing financial crime. "I want to continue playing an active role towards Indonesia Emas 2045," he concluded enthusiastically.
