Based on data from the Ministry of Manpower as of April 20, 2020, 84,926 companies had laid off their workers. 1,546,208 workers and laborers lost their jobs, with 31,444 companies from the informal sector having to lay off employees, with the total number of workers affected by layoffs reaching 538,385.
Nearly 2 million people have lost their jobs, livelihoods, and purchasing power. The risk haunts their wives and children, asking, "What will our father eat today?" Many other stories are also being told, including medical workers who have died while carrying out their mandate.
This virus has caused chaos, fear everywhere, attacking your friends, your family, the old, the young, children, the middle-aged, men, women, the rich, the poor, leaders, the people, it knows no geographical boundaries, demographics, whatever social boundaries created by humans.
Mother Earth is in distress, yet so much love is growing. People are sharing meals, donating protective equipment to medical personnel, and religious leaders are praying for the nation's safety. The world is united, working together to overcome the pandemic.

In response to the spread of COVID-19 in Indonesia, Universitas Airlangga , class of '53,' are working over the weekend to raise public funds to prevent the spread of the virus and protect the community. The details are as follows:
– Providing assistance to affected MSMEs in the form of purchasing their merchandise for direct distribution, masks and necessary hygiene kits.
– Provision of assistance in the form of PPE and masks for medical personnel who are fighting on the front lines.
