

(FEB NEWS) Surabaya, Tuesday, September 16, 2025 – The Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) held a Leadership Handover Ceremony on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the Soepoyo Hall, FEB UNAIR. This event marked the end of the dean's leadership period 2020–2025 under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., M.Si., Ak., and the beginning of the new leadership period 2025–2030 led by Prof. Dr. Rudi Purwono.
In her remarks, Prof. Dian Agustia expressed her gratitude and thanks for the togetherness of the entire FEB UNAIR academic community during her leadership period. She emphasized that the various achievements obtained, both in the field of tridharma and strengthening faculty governance, were the result of the synergy of lecturers, educational staff, students, and all faculty administrators. Prof. Dian also expressed her apologies for any shortcomings, while also offering her prayers and full support to the new dean so that FEB UNAIR will continue to succeed and always be a leading faculty.
Meanwhile, Prof. Rudi Purwono emphasized in his remarks that the new leadership is not a complete departure, but rather a continuation of the strong foundation built by the previous leadership. He also expressed his appreciation to Prof. Dian for the valuable lessons and experience she has provided, both within the faculty and through various external forums such as faculty associations and accreditation bodies.
Prof. Rudi emphasized that the success of FEB UNAIR is not solely attributed to its leadership, but rather the collective work of all elements of the faculty. With a spirit of togetherness, the 2025–2030 deanship is committed to maintaining FEB UNAIR's reputation at the national and international levels, producing highly competitive graduates, and making tangible contributions to society.
Through this momentum, FEB UNAIR affirms its commitment to continue contributing to the achievement of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), especially SDG 4: Quality Education through improving the quality of education, and SDG 5: Gender Equality through inclusive leadership involving the roles of lecturers, education staff, and students regardless of background.
The event ended with a joint prayer and a friendly gathering, accompanied by the hope that the new leadership can make FEB UNAIR even greater, superior, and have an impact on society.
