(FEB NEWS) Thursday, August 17, 2023, from Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) Management Office Yard, the 78th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) in 2023, which also marks the 69th Anniversary Universitas Airlangga @univ_airlangga, was very much felt by every participant in the ceremony.
Faculties and schools within Universitas Airlangga participated in the ceremony, dressed in traditional Indonesian attire. Students, lecturers, and educational staff, as well as invited guests, enthusiastically participated in the entire flag-raising ceremony. The UNAIR FEB team was also present, dressed in traditional Central Javanese attire and the Cak-Ning of Surabaya.
The Chancellor Universitas Airlangga – Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, SE, MT, Ak. gave his message/mandate, in the commemoration of the 78th Anniversary of Indonesian Independence to continuously work together to realize the meaning of “Freedom”, realize the meaning of “Filling Independence”, realize Freedom to Learn (Freedom from fear, Freedom from insecurity, Freedom from violence, Freedom from bullying, both from friends/lecturers/educational staff in the Universitas Airlanggaenvironment, such as: actions of threatening, humiliating, disturbing, calling names, belittling, intimidating, cursing, and spreading bad gossip). “There must be no Killer Lecturers on campus! Are there still lecturers who are nicknamed “killer lecturers”? Are there any more?” said the message from the Chancellor Universitas Airlangga .
"Let's work together to provide benefits for humanity, to make a real contribution to our beloved country, Indonesia, towards a just and civilized society," was the final message of Prof. Nasih's speech, which was emphasized to always be remembered and implemented in everyday real life, to the entire academic community Universitas Airlangga.
