FROM TIME MANAGEMENT TO SOCIAL SERVICE: THE INSPIRATIONAL STORY OF LINDA ROSALINA, THE BEST STUDENT AT FEB UNAIR

(Inspirational Story) Surabaya, October 6, 2025 – Perseverance, discipline, and social awareness are the three main pillars in the journey of Linda Rosalina, a Master's student at the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR). Amidst fierce academic competition, this woman born in Lamongan, May 24, 1999, managed to achieve a proud achievement by winning the title of Best Master's Graduate in the Prospective Graduate Briefing event for Period 254 – September 2025, which was held on September 26, 2025.

This achievement is not only the result of perfect academic grades, but also the fruit of good time management skills, commitment to the organization, and deep concern for the surrounding community.

Gratitude and Appreciation for FEB UNAIR

During her journey, Linda expressed her gratitude and pride at being able to study at FEB UNAIR. She believes the learning environment at this faculty is very supportive of student development, both academically and personally.

"The faculty really facilitates students with comfortable study spaces, subscriptions to reputable journals, which makes it easier for us to conduct research. They have a library and RBC—which is my favorite place to do assignments—and they provide various seminars that can improve students' skills," said Linda.

He also expressed special appreciation to the entire FEB UNAIR academic community who always provide full support in the learning process.
• The lecturers, he said, are always open to discussion, provide easy-to-understand teaching, and encourage students to collaborate on scientific publications.
• The educational staff (Tendik) is also considered responsive and fast in providing administrative services, from document legalization to exam registration.

For Linda, the synergy between students, lecturers, and education staff is one of the important factors that makes FEB UNAIR able to produce superior and characterful graduates.

Learning Through Organizations and Community Service

Linda's success is inseparable from her active participation in various organizational activities. She served as Secretary of the Master of Economics Student Association (HIMA MIE), where she learned a great deal about the dynamics of leadership and activity management.

Linda also served as the Coordinator of the Community Service Division (Pengmas) at the Indonesian Volunteer Society (MRI) in Surabaya. This experience broadened her perspective on social issues, particularly in the areas of education and community welfare.

"Because I've focused on community service, I've become more sensitive and engaged with social phenomena around me, particularly education. Many small things can have a big impact if done with sincere intentions," he said.

For Linda, involvement in an organization is not just about expanding one's network, but also a learning platform to contribute and foster empathy for others.

Keys to Success: Time Management and Priorities

Balancing postgraduate studies, organizational activities, and community service is certainly not easy. However, for Linda, the key to her success lies in time management and clear priorities.

"We can't do everything at once, but whatever we choose to do must be done with dedication. I've learned to prioritize and ensure every responsibility is completed on time," he said.

Time discipline, according to him, is an important foundation for maintaining the balance of life for postgraduate students who are often faced with various academic and professional demands.

Spreading Inspiration for the Next Generation

Linda Rosalina's achievements and dedication are proof that success is determined not only by academic intelligence, but also by social sensitivity and a passion for contributing to others. She believes that true education occurs when the knowledge gained provides tangible benefits to society.

"As long as we have the will, nothing is impossible. The most important thing is to keep learning, stay humble, and don't forget to give back to the environment," he said meaningfully.

Through her story, Linda wants to inspire other students to continue developing themselves holistically—combining academic excellence, social awareness, and strong leadership character.

Linda Rosalina's story reflects the spirit of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga in producing graduates who excel not only in science but also in integrity and a spirit of service. She exemplifies that true success is born from a balance of knowledge, empathy, and dedication to benefiting others.
