February is often associated with the day of sharing love. While many still consider it a controversial topic, MM FEB Unair sees it from a different perspective. February is a time to implement CSR activities. In collaboration with the Mobilio Indonesia Community (Mobility), they are holding activities that are unlike Valentine's Day celebration .
On Sunday, February 12, 2017, dozens of Honda Mobilio cars from various regions in East Java, led by their chairman, Dadi Haryadi, gathered in the courtyard of the MM FEB Unair. One member, Heru, even came from Pacitan, leaving at midnight to socialize with other community members.
This time, Mobility's landline meeting activity brought up a different CSR activity. MM FEB Unair and Mobility see that love should not only be given to couples and families, but also to the city of Surabaya. For this reason, the theme of the activity was " Love Surabaya, green & clean ". The theme originated from the concern that many car users still like to throw trash carelessly outside their cars. That they are the ones who are more appropriate to be called 'garbage collectors', because they throw trash carelessly. Meanwhile, those commonly called garbage collectors are basically 'cleaning officers'. Thus, in this event, MM FEB Unair and Mobility attempted to carry out social marketing , namely activities to change the attitudes and behavior of car users in maintaining city cleanliness. This was also reinforced by one of the officers, Sukandar, who is considered an elder of the cleaning officers, who said that they often also encounter car users throwing trash on roads that have been swept and also in rivers. There are still many car users who do not have the awareness to keep their city clean.
To that end, Mobility aims to be a car community that sets an example for driving that not only meets Safety Riding standards , but also Green Riding standards . Mobility members' cars are inspected for their completeness in terms of cleaning equipment, such as trash cans, brooms, water pumps, etc. All cars are also checked for emissions by the Royal Honda Kenjeran Workshop. The car with the most complete cleaning equipment and the best emissions levels receives an award.
Furthermore, the event also included philanthropic activities, such as giving souvenirs to the cleaning staff as a token of appreciation from Mobility and MM FEB Unair. They were also entertained with musical entertainment. Sukandar, a cleaning staff member, even sang "Not All Men."
In addition to CSR activities, Mobility members also visited MM FEB Unair with the aim of improving the education of its members. On that occasion, KPS MM FEB Unair, Dr. Gancar C. Premananto delivered highly relevant material, namely on Brand Community and CSR which has publication value. The material delivered received enthusiasm from Mobility members, most of whom came with their families. Even door prizes were given in the form of stays at the Maxone Dharmahusada Hotel and the Artotel Surabaya Hotel related to the management material provided.
