(FEB NEWS) The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) enthusiastically welcomed a group of students from the Salafiyah Wa Tahfidzul Qur'an Ma'had Aly Madarijul Ulum Islamic Boarding School, Bandar Lampung. The activity, which took place on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, included a campus visit and a small seminar themed "Innovation and Development of Sharia Economics in Indonesia", took place in the Tirtodiningrat Room, Campus B, Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya.

The event was attended by 44 students and 6 accompanying lecturers. In the Small Seminar, Prof. Dr. Sri Herianingrum, SE., M.Si – Head of the Department of Sharia Economics, FEB UNAIR acted as a resource person. In her presentation, Prof. Sri Herianingrum highlighted the latest innovations in the sharia economic sector and its potential for development in Indonesia, which is relevant for the young generation studying in Islamic boarding schools. This seminar is expected to enrich the students' insights into modern sharia economic concepts and increase their understanding of the opportunities and challenges in this sector.

In addition to the seminar, participants were also taken on a campus tour to gain a better understanding of the academic environment and facilities at FEB UNAIR. This tour is expected to motivate students to pursue higher studies, particularly in Sharia Economics at FEB UNAIR.

This visit is an initial step in strengthening the relationship between FEB UNAIR and Ma'had Aly Madarijul Ulum. Both institutions hope this collaboration can continue in the form of other educational activities, benefiting the development of Islamic economics and Islamic boarding school education in Indonesia.
