DISSEMINATION OF ANALYSIS RESULTS OF TRADE POLICY BOARD IN 2024 FEB UNAIR(Feb News) Tuesday, July 30, 2024 - From the Fadjar Notonagoro Hall 2nd floor, the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Airlangga was filled with academics, practitioners, and policy makers in the event "Dissemination of the Analysis of the 2024 Trading Policy Agency". Carrying the theme "Managing the Potential of National Trade and Global Market as a key to inclusive growth", which is a collaboration between the Ministry of Trade's Trade Policy Agency (BKPERDAG) in collaboration with FEB Unair.

The event opened with Prof.'s remarks Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., MSi., Ak., CMA., CA., Dean of FEB Unair, which highlights the important role of higher education in supporting trade policies through innovative research and development. Prof. Dian Agustia also stressed the need for identification and mapping of potential export products, as well as overcoming trade barriers both at the national and international levels. He mentioned that the welfare of business actors and the community must be a priority in every trading policy taken.
The remarks were continued by Dr. Iwan, Head of the East Java Province Industry and Trade Office, stressed the importance of cross -sector collaboration in facing the challenges of global trade. Dr. Iwan also hopes that through this event in the future a solid and solutive cooperation can be created, between the central government, regional governments, business people, associations and academics, in advancing the East Java national economy, generally conduct effective and efficient policy preparation

The keynote speech was delivered by Dr. Kasan, Head of the Trade Policy Agency of the Ministry of Trade, who provided a comprehensive overview of the government's strategy in managing national and global trade potential. In his speech, Dr. Kasan emphasized that Indonesia must continue to strengthen its position in the international market by utilizing its comparative and competitive advantages.

The analysis of the analysis session opened with a presentation from Ferry Samuel Jacob, MM, from the International Trade Policy Center, with the topic of "Analysis of the Impact of Indonesian Participation as an OECD member". Ferry outlines the benefits and challenges of Indonesia as members of OECD, as well as its impact on national trade policies.

Followed by Umar Fakhruddin, MS.E., Youth Expert Trade Analyst from the Center for Export Import and Trading Security Policy, which discusses "Analysis of the Determination of Indonesia's Export Targets in order to support the export improvement task force". Umar conveyed an in -depth analysis of the potential of new markets and export diversification strategies to increase the competitiveness of Indonesian products in the global market.

The last session was delivered by Ranny Resnia, M.Bus.ec., from the domestic trade policy center. Ranny explained "Analysis of Strategies to Improve the Effectiveness of People's Market Management in Indonesia", highlighting the importance of the people's market as the backbone of the local economy and the strategy of increasing the effectiveness of its management.
Discussion guided by Ari Satria, MA., Secretary of the Trade Policy Agency, and acts as the discussion, Prof. Rossanto Dwi Handoyo, Ph.D. Discussions and question and answer sessions provide space for participants to explore more about the strategies and policies that must be taken to encourage the growth of inclusive and sustainable trade.
The event ended with a conclusion that confirmed the importance of collaboration between academics, government, and the private sector in supporting sustainable trade policies. Through the dissemination of the results of this analysis, it is hoped that a strong synergy can be created to increase the competitiveness of Indonesia's trade in the global market.
