(Feb News) Banyuwangi - Students of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair) again made a proud achievement in the national arena. In the Untag Fight Championship 2025 event, the National Kickboxing Tournament which took place on 15-18 February 2025 at the University of August 17, 1945 Banyuwangi (Untag Banyuwangi), East Java, the FEB Airlangga University Team won 1st place and 2nd place in various match categories.
This tournament was held by Kickboxing Indonesia (KBI), the Indonesian National Sports Committee (KONI), and August 17, 1945 Banyuwangi University (Untag Banyuwangi), followed by kickboxing athletes from various universities and regions in Indonesia. The competition lasted for four days with an elimination system and direct supervision by the official jury from KBI and KONI.
This glorious achievement was achieved by four FEB UNAIR students, namely:
* Ahmad Zacky - Champion 1 Senior category 67 kg men (management 2023)
* Lailaturahma Thania N - Champion 2 Senior Category 52 Kg Women (Islamic Economics 2023)
* Hugo Assamy Wirama - Champion 2 Junior category 73 kg men (Islamic economics 2023)
* M. Zalda Ayyub L - Champion 2 Junior category 71 kg men (management 2024)
The four students show high dedication, fighting spirit, and extraordinary discipline during the preparation period to the implementation of the competition. Through intensive exercises and mature competing strategies, they managed to show their best performance and bring home a victory medal.
Untag Fight Championship itself is a prestigious event that aims to foster a competitive spirit and sportsmanship among the younger generation, especially students. In addition to honing physical abilities, this tournament is also a place for character formation, discipline, and self -confidence.
The participation and achievement of FEB UNAIR students in this championship is a clear proof that the advantages of students are not only limited to the academic field, but are also able to shine in the field of sports at the national level.
