(FEB NEWS) Surabaya, Friday, September 26, 2025 – The Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) held a Graduation Ceremony for the 254th Period at the Fadjarnotonagoro Hall, 2nd Floor of FEB UNAIR. This event was attended by 577 prospective graduates consisting of 429 Bachelor's graduates, 113 Master's graduates, and 35 Doctoral graduates.
The event opened with remarks from the Dean of FEB UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Rudi Purwono, SE., MSE., who expressed his pride in the graduates' achievements and emphasized the importance of maintaining integrity, professionalism, and continuing to contribute to society, the nation, and the state. He also advised the graduates to maintain a good relationship with their alma mater through active participation in alumni activities.
The data of 577 prospective graduates was handed over directly by the Dean of FEB UNAIR to the Secretary General of the Faculty of Economics Alumni Association (IKAFE) UNAIR, Dr. Zakik, SE., M.Si., to be managed and utilized in strengthening the alumni network. After receiving the data, Dr. Zakik then gave a speech representing the Head of IKAFE UNAIR. In his speech, he emphasized IKAFE's strategic role in strengthening the alumni network and supporting the career development of graduates. On this occasion, a symbolic handover of IKAFE UNAIR cards was also carried out as a sign of the graduates' official connection to the alumni network.
In closing, FEB UNAIR presented a Post-Graduation Preparation Talk Show entitled “Understanding the World of Work: Skills and Dream Career” moderated by Dr. Tri Siwi Agustina, SE., M.Si., Chairperson of PKRI FEB UNAIR. This talk show presented speakers from three major institutions, namely Mrs. Zakiah, Deputy Head of BPJS Employment Service Area of East Java Regional Office; Ayatullah Marhamah F. Pumalinggo, SSi., Apt., AAK., MBA., Assistant Deputy of Rekinta from the Deputy for Human Resources of BPJS Kesehatan; and Mr. Adityo Cahyadi, Assistant Vice President of Human Capital Service Group of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia. The speakers provided insights regarding the importance of social protection for workers, career paths, and recruitment opportunities in the professional world.
Through this activity, FEB UNAIR not only expresses appreciation to the graduates but also ensures that they are prepared for the professional world, equipped with insights, a strong alumni network, and extensive career opportunities. This activity demonstrates FEB UNAIR's commitment to producing a superior generation ready to compete globally while upholding moral values and making real contributions to society.
