UNAIR NEWS – Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) held an inauguration and thanksgiving ceremony for the establishment of Guest House I-FEB UNAIR on Tuesday, April 9, 2019. The event was attended by the Dean of FEB UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., M.Si., Ak., along with staff; Senior lecturers of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga , including Drs.Ec. Sugiat, Ak.; Prof. Dr. Muslich Anshori, SE., M.Sc., Ak., Drs. Karjadi Mintaroem, MS. and invited guests from the lecturers and from the Ashabul Kahfi Orphanage Surabaya.
The event began with a prayer led by H. Buhran Mutaher as the Advisor of the Ashabul Kahfi Orphanage Foundation Surabaya. The inauguration of the Guest House I-FEB was carried out after remarks from the Dean of FEB UNAIR. In his remarks, Prof. Dian stated that he hoped the presence of the Guest House I-FEB would be beneficial for campus activities. FEB UNAIR strives to provide the best and most comfortable accommodation for guests. The building is located on Jalan Sutorejo Utara X No. 7 Surabaya, close to the location of Campus C Universitas Airlangga .
The modern-style house, with white and pastel hues, has four bedrooms in three different categories: one VIP room, one family-sized room, and two standard-sized rooms. The VIP room is located on the first floor, while the other three bedrooms are on the second floor.
With an area of approximately two hundred and forty square meters, the I-FEB Guest House is also equipped with a living room, kitchen, outdoor and indoor bathrooms, televisions in each room, and a central room that can be used as a meeting room. "It feels like a four-star hotel," the Dean joked. "Hopefully, it will be useful and become a supporting facility for the success of activities. For example, if we have inbound , sometimes when looking outside, the size is not quite right, not suitable. Hopefully, this (Guest House I-FEB, Ed.) is standard. Because we are indeed preparing to international standards," she said.
Not only that, continued Prof. Dian, the I-FEB Guest House also provides a shuttle transportation service for guests staying overnight to campus.
The I-FEB Guest House is not only intended for guests or activities related to FEB UNAIR, but is also open to all UNAIR academics who need accommodations for campus activities or purposes. (*)
