
(FEB NEWS) The Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) once again became the center of international scientific meetings with the holding of the 12th Knowledge-Based Research Accounting (KRA) International Conference 2025. This conference is a strategic momentum for strengthening the role of higher education in shaping new directions for accounting research and practice that are adaptive to technology, based on ethical values, and oriented towards social and environmental sustainability, (June 2-3, 2025).

This activity was held on June 2–3, 2025 at the Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga, Surabaya, Indonesia, with the main collaboration from the Indonesian Accountants Association (IAI) East Java Region, and supported by 53 partner universities (co-hosts) from all over Indonesia.
The event was officially opened by:

In his remarks, the Rector Universitas Airlangga, Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, emphasized the importance of integrating ethical values, artificial intelligence, and sustainability in the development of accounting science. "We must be able to produce research and innovation that is not only relevant to technological developments but also in line with humanitarian values and social responsibility. This is the future challenge of the accounting profession that we must address together," he said.

Meanwhile, the Dean of FEB UNAIR, Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, highlighted the important role of educational institutions in bridging the transformation of knowledge and practice.
"KRA is not only an academic forum, but also a representation of our commitment to shaping an inclusive, technology-based future for accounting, grounded in ethical and sustainable values. FEB UNAIR will continue to be a growing space for global collaboration and scientific innovation," he emphasized.
