FEB UNAIR and ACCA Indonesia Strategic Cooperation for Strengthening Accounting Professional Competencies

(Feb News) Friday, July 25, 2025 - Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair) continues to show its commitment in expanding the international collaboration network. In this afternoon, a cooperation agreement was signed between the UNAIR FEB and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) Indonesia. This activity took place in the leadership meeting room, ABC lobby 1st floor, Feb Unair.

This cooperation aims to improve student academic and professional competencies, especially in the field of accounting, through partnerships with international certification institutions that are recognized globally. This collaboration is expected to strengthen the relevance of the higher education curriculum to the needs of the global work world and encourage the creation of graduates who are ready to compete at the international level.

The procession of the signing of the cooperation agreement was carried out by the Dean of FEB Unair, Prof. Dr. Dian Agustia, SE., MSi., Ak., CMA., CA., Together with Julia Simatupang as Country Manager & Chief Representative ACCA Indonesia. This moment marks the start of synergy between higher education institutions and international accounting professional associations in supporting the improvement of the quality of education and career development of students.

Through this partnership, FEB UNAIR accounting students will have a greater opportunity to obtain international recognition and access to professional certification that is recognized globally.

This strategic collaboration is a concrete step for FEB UNAIR in supporting the achievement of SDG 4 (quality education) and SDG 8 (decent work and economic growth), as well as strengthening adaptive and competitive higher education ecosystems globally. In the future, the two institutions are committed to continuing to develop joint programs that provide concrete benefits for the development of the accounting profession in Indonesia and the world.
