(FEB NEWS) Surabaya, Today, Monday, November 10, 2025 — the leadership, lecturers, educational staff, and students of the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR) under the leadership of the Dean of FEB UNAIR Prof. Dr. Rudi Purwono, SE, M.Se., also attended the Flag Ceremony to Commemorate National Heroes Day 2025.
This activity was also combined with the 71st Anniversary Universitas Airlangga and World Science Day, as a reflection of UNAIR's long journey in spreading the spirit of struggle, dedication, and innovation.
In his address, the Chancellor Universitas Airlangga, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Madyan, SE, M.Si., M.Fin., emphasized that the spirit of heroism is born from the courage to think and the ability to create. According to him, today's struggle is no longer carried out with weapons, but with knowledge, research, and works that benefit society.
He also emphasized that UNAIR as a leading campus with global impact has become a home for generations of learners — a birthplace of scientists, professionals, and national leaders who prioritize integrity and humanity.
Closing his message, Prof. Madyan invited the entire academic community to emulate the spirit of the heroes through discipline, dedication, and enthusiasm for science that brings benefits to the progress of the nation and the world.
Not only was it filled with national spirit, this ceremony was also an event to award awards to outstanding lecturers, educational staff, students, and work units within Universitas Airlangga.
On this occasion, FEB UNAIR again recorded a number of proud achievements, including:

• Alfani Moh Lami' Abdunnafi' (Islamic Economics Study Program, Class of 2024) — 2nd Place in the Maulid Nabi Muhammad SAW Competition / XVIII National Student Qur'an Recitation Competition in 2025
