
SUMENEP, iNews.id – The Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FKH) Universitas Airlangga which are members of the Airlangga Community Development Hub (ACDH), continue to explore the economic potential of the Raas Islands, Sumenep, Madura , East Java.
For three days, starting Thursday (May 26), a seven-person ACDH team explored the island's economic potential. They sailed with the Kesatria Airlangga Floating Hospital (RSTKA).
The FEB team that was deployed was Dr. Irham Zaki, M. Qudsi Fauzi, MM., M. Bastomi Fahri Zusak, M.SEI, and Al Ma'rifatul A'la, MA. Meanwhile, representing the FKH was chaired by Dr. drh. M. Anam Al Arif and consisted of drh, Sunaryo Hadi Warsito, MP, and Dr. drh. Dadik Rahardjo, M.Kes. The FEB and FKH Unair conducted a survey of livestock breeders and MSMEs on Raas Island .
The Head of the Unair Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Team, Dr. drh. M. Anam Al Arif, revealed that the main problem faced by the Raas community is the lack of 24-hour electricity supply.
"So far, the Raas community has only had electricity at night, namely from 5:00 PM to 5:00 AM WIB," he said.
He said that livestock farmers also lack extensive knowledge in livestock management. For MSMEs, the lack of full electricity supply poses a barrier to their full development.
