Abdul Manan as Senior Officer of the BUMN Program of PT. Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk and 2.) Teddy Poernama as Coordinator of Medium Enterprise Governance of the Ministry of BUMN. With the lecture theme of Business Ethics and Social Responsibility
On Monday, October 31, 2020 and running two sessions starting at 08.30 WIB and 09.30 WIB took place at the Mindrowo Hall, 3rd Floor, FEB UNAIR Building.
Abdul Manan explained the profile of the company PT Semen Indonesia Gresik (SIG). Who does not know PT Semen Indonesia Gresik (SIG) which has touched the global market from Asia, Australia, to the Pacific. This PT, which is 51.01% government-owned and 48.99% privately owned, boasts high productivity and a significant social impact.

Then what kind of social and environmental responsibility (TJSL) is carried out by PT SIG? With the direction of KBUMN, the main focus of the program is for education, environment, and development of MSMEs, this is certainly related to CSR and its implementation the company uses Creating Shared Value (CSV) which has more benefits, one of which is creating socio-economic benefits based on savings. Based on laws starting from Law no. 19 of 2003 concerning state-owned enterprises to management policies, in 2010 PT SIG implemented ISO 26000. Not stopping there, various forms of implementation such as the creation of PT Sinergi Mitra Operasi Rembang (SMOR) which has sustainable targets, various activities are made in it such as the utilization of biomass from agriculture, the utilization of municipal waste as an energy source, to training and certification of builders. Matters related to the SGDs that must be realized by all countries include 4 pillars, namely social, economic, and environmental development as well as law and governance so as to be able to represent almost 17 components of the SGDs. Mr. Manan also said that he is opening up opportunities as wide as possible for students who want to do an internship at PT Semen Indonesia Gresik.

This was conveyed by Teddy Poernama that since 1983 state-owned enterprises have tried to implement TJSL, not many people considered that it was a high cost or expense by carrying out the form of implementation through CSR then developing times made a number of comprehensive improvements to state-owned enterprises. Improvements have been continuously made from time to time such as starting from the name PEGELKOP, PUK, PUKK, PKBL, until now which is called TJSL.

Teddy Poernomo also mentioned that the programs implemented need innovation from young people. He said that Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the impact management of the board of directors' policies which is also part of business ethics. Policies in BUMNs vary related to CSR to various CSV implementations. Such as the following programs carried out by companies under the auspices of BUMN, namely the Kimia Farma essential oil MSME development program, FABA management from coal waste that has beneficial value for the community environment from PLN, then from pawning with waste management that has a turnover of waste bank pawning agents amounting to IDR 2.163 billion through social investment with the capacity of each waste bank being able to process 18.6 tons of waste with the assumption of an average waste price of IDR 3000 / kg.
So, are you interested in exploring CSR or even CSV programs? because analytical skills are highly needed in various companies, including state-owned enterprises, which have various programs to address problems by using appropriate business ethics as a form of social and environmental responsibility from the company to the community.

At the end of the session, Dr. Gancar Candra Premananto gave the students the opportunity to ask questions/give their critical thoughts, and as seen in the picture, Latifatunnisa Nur Jana is one of the FEB UNAIR students who received a gift from Abdul Manan as Senior Officer of the BUMN Program of PT.
