(FEB NEWS) Kudus, Sunday, November 2, 2025 — A student from the Faculty of Economics and Business Universitas Airlangga (FEB UNAIR), once again demonstrated her unyielding spirit. Marselia Crenata, a 2022 Accounting student, won third place in the 8K Female category at the 2025 Muria Trail Run held in the Mount Muria area of Kudus, Central Java.
This prestigious event, hosted by Komet Adventure, attracted over 240 participants from across Indonesia. The Muria Trail Run is known as a challenging trail running competition, as its route traverses mountains, forests, and even villages. In addition to the 8K category, the race also includes 15K, 30K, and 45K distances for both men and women.
Not only Marselia, but other Universitas Airlangga delegates from the UNAIR WANALA Student Activity Unit (UKM WANALA UNAIR) also achieved impressive results. Muhamad Nur Khamim finished fifth in the 15K Male category, and Nadya Noor Fahira placed sixth in the 30K Female category.
Challenge Yourself, Get Out of Your Comfort Zone
For Marselia, participating in the Muria Trail Run isn't just a race, but a journey to challenge herself and step outside her comfort zone.
"I'm participating in the 2025 Muria Trail Run because I want to challenge myself, step outside my comfort zone, and discover my limits. I also want to promote and represent WANALA and UNAIR in this event," she said.
As a member of the UNAIR Nature Lovers Student Activity Unit (WANALA), Marselia is accustomed to outdoor activities and physical challenges. This experience fueled her desire to brave the steep and slippery terrain of Mount Muria, which was notoriously steep due to the previous night's rain.
"I adjusted my running speed, maintaining my breathing rhythm and pace so I wouldn't run out of energy quickly," he said, recounting his struggle to conquer the challenging route.
The Spirit of Sportsmanship and Love of Nature
More than just a competition, the 2025 Muria Trail Run serves as a platform to foster a spirit of sportsmanship, a healthy lifestyle, and a love of nature and the environment. The event also promotes Mount Muria's natural tourism potential and encourages the younger generation to care about environmental sustainability.
Marselia sees this event as an opportunity to prove the results of her training while strengthening the spirit of togetherness among nature lovers.
"I hope my friends and I can continue to participate in activities that support our interests, with increasing support from various parties. I also want to add to our achievements in other events and encourage more people to love outdoor sports," he said.
The Process of Becoming the Best Version of Yourself
Marselia also shares an inspiring message about the importance of exploration and the courage to grow.
"Explore whatever makes you happy, as long as it's positive. My immediate environment, especially the UNAIR WANALA Student Activity Unit (UKM WANALA), has really helped me discover my potential. I'm happy to represent UNAIR, especially FEB UNAIR, where I not only compete but also gain new experiences and friends from various regions," she said enthusiastically.
With this achievement, Marselia proves that the spirit of “Excellence with Morality” that Universitas Airlangga upholds can be realized in various fields, including sports and concern for nature.
"As long as we are willing to go through the process, we can always become the best version of ourselves," he concluded.
