9120 FEB UNAIR and DPKKA UNAIR Discussing the Strategy for Improving Employability Graduates.html(FEB NEWS) Friday, January 24, 2025 – FEB UNAIR attended the invitation of the Surabaya City Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda), for the closing of the Independent Learning Campus Internship (MBKM) program. This event took place in the Meeting Room of the Goods/Services Procurement and Development Administration Section (BPBJAP) on the 3rd floor, Jl. Sedap Malam No. 1 Surabaya and marked the success of this first internship program.
A total of 82 FEB UNAIR students have participated in this program for one semester, gaining direct experience in supporting the strategic activities of the Surabaya City Bapenda. In her remarks, the Head of Bapenda – Febrina Kusumawati, S.Si., MM, expressed her deep appreciation to FEB UNAIR for their trust in placing their students in her institution.
“The presence of these students greatly helps the sustainability of our work program. They learn directly from the reality on the ground, make real contributions, and have a positive impact on Bapenda, said Febrina. In the future, she hopes that this activity can still continue.”
Vice Dean I of FEB UNAIR, Dr. Wisnu Wibowo , SE, M.Si., also expressed his appreciation to the Surabaya City Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) for providing full guidance to the students. "We are very grateful to Bapenda, especially to Mrs. Febrina Kusumawati and the mentors, for their extraordinary guidance to our students. We hope that this collaboration can continue with the presence of the second, third, fourth and so on, and perhaps even the opportunity for our students to become part of Bapenda in the future," he said.
Dr. Wisnu also highlighted the importance of strengthening students' soft skills, especially in the areas of communication, interpersonal relations, and the use of technology, which are characteristics of generation Z. According to him, this internship program is a small step towards major changes in supporting the realization of the Vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
"We hope that this collaboration will not only benefit the institution, but also have an impact on society, the nation, and the state," he added.
In closing, Dr. Wisnu also expressed his apologies for any shortcomings that may have occurred during the program. He emphasized the importance of the role of all parties, including families, in developing superior human resources.
The MBKM Internship Program is a clear demonstration of the synergy between educational institutions and local governments in developing a generation of young people ready to compete in the global era. We hope this collaboration will continue and provide even greater benefits in the future.
