(Feb News) Today, on May 27, 2024, the Fadjar Notonegoro Hall was a witness to the success of the Intellectual Casual Intellectual Talk event with an attractive topic "Navigating the World of Online Loans: Solutions or Traps". This event, organized by the Department of Studies and Strategic Action of BEM FEB UNAIR, aims to open student insights about the world of finance and fintech that has not been widely encouraged. Online loans have a big impact on various aspects of Indonesian people's life and economy, so that education like this is very necessary, especially for students. We are very proud to present three resource persons with a variety of perspectives: Mr. Indrawan Nugroho Utomo, Head of the East Java OJK Capital Market Supervision Section, which discusses aspects of regulatory and online loan supervision; Dr. Wisudanto, Head of Social Fund Management Universitas Airlangga, which provides perspectives in terms of fund management and social implications; and Mrs. Ratna Azis, Lecturer in the Department of Sociology of FISIP UNAIR, who explored the social and cultural impacts of the online loan phenomenon.

Participants showed high enthusiasm, as seen from the many full seats in the Fadjar Notonegoro Hall. This event is different because it has a panel discussion theme, where participants can directly discuss and ask questions to existing speakers. The involvement of BEM from other faculties such as BEM FTMM, BEM FISIP, BEM PSI, and others is very important to enrich discussions and points of view. Apart from that, the next topic of Intellectual Casual Talk will be a topic that is hotly discussed by the public and students. The real challenges faced by students, such as being tied to online loans due to difficulty paying UKT and personal needs, show how important it is to better understand online loans.
