(Feb News) Friday, December 8, 2023-Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Airlangga (FEB Unair) proudly, acted as the host, successfully organizing the Campus Visit event with the theme "The Role of Non-Bank Financial Industries (Insurance and Pension Funds) in the Indonesian Economy." This event, was a series of events from IFG Progress, was open to the public, and took place in the Fadjar Notonagoro Hall, 2nd floor of FEB Airlangga University.
As is known together with the non-bank financial sector, including insurance and pension funds, plays a significant role with a contribution of 23% to the national financial sector. However, the challenges of financial literacy, technical problems, and lack of regulations are still obstacles. IFG Progress and FEB Unair work together to overcome this, providing a comprehensive understanding of the crucial role of the Non-Bank Financial Industry (IKNB) through campus visits.
The event opened by Dr. NISFUL LAILA - Deputy Dean II of FEB Unair, presented an extraordinary speaker from IFG Progress, namely Ibrahim Kholilul Rohman - Senior Research Associate IFG Progras, Rosi Melati - Research Associate IFG Progress; M. Alvin Pabowosunu - Research Associate IFG Progress., To discuss the dynamics and challenges in this sector. This initiative is not only to increase student literacy, but also as a commitment to FEB Unair in supporting the development of the non-bank financial sector in Indonesia.
With the support of IFG Progress, Feb Unair hopes to create future leaders who understand the dynamics of the non-bank financial sector. This collaboration is expected to stimulate the interest of students to have a career in the non-bank financial industry and increase public awareness of the importance of insurance. Like the role of insurance which is a risk mitigation instrument, the importance of insurance protection and pension fund planning. FEB UNAIR believes that the synergy between education and the non-bank financial industry can create a conducive climate for innovation and contribution to sustainable economic growth for Indonesia.
