MM FEB UNAIR has once again launched a groundbreaking event, this time initiated by the MM Student Association (HIMA).
In line with the expectations of the MM FEB UNAIR management, students should possess not only business insight but also a strong social awareness. To this end, formal Business Ethics and CSR courses were introduced, while informally the Golden Hearts Community was established. It turned out that HIMA itself had a remarkable idea: sharing happiness with epilepsy sufferers, a practice often shunned by the general public due to their lack of understanding.
Dr. dr. Kurnia, the ODE (People with Epilepsy) advisor, stated that there was an elementary school teacher who did not understand, and even forbade his students from buying food from epilepsy sufferers, for fear of infection. This lack of public awareness is what the HIMA committee is trying to eliminate under the coordination of the committee chairman Satria Witaradya and the chairman of HIMA MM Redemptus Ardian. The HIMA CSR event entitled 'Break the Stigma' was presented by presenting 40 epilepsy sufferers and their families as ODE support. Taking place in a beautiful location, at North Quay, on Saturday, December 17, 2017, the event was relaxed but valuable. The participants were entertained by an acoustic band and dances from Banyuwangi.
Furthermore, the MM Student Association (HIMA) also invited speakers from MM students themselves, such as Annisa 'Jajanlondo' and Ema 'Henmate', to share their knowledge and the ups and downs of running an online business. They also featured 'Masterchef Indonesia' finalist Mr. Bagus and Laras 'Lazada' to share their knowledge with the participants. All of this was provided as a form of preparation for those with epilepsy to gain confidence and prepare them to run an online business.
Participants enthusiastically welcomed the event. They came from various regions, including Sumenep and Bojonegoro. They expressed their gratitude to the committee for organizing this first-of-its-kind event, providing appreciation, support, and even knowledge to ODE.
"Excellence with Morality" is not just a slogan, but has become a real activity for MM FEB Unair students. Sharing knowledge and fostering a strong social spirit are supported in these activities.
Bravo to MM FEB Unair students.
