Financial Services Authority (OJK) today, Friday 19 October 2018 sharing information and knowledge through a public lecture by Mr. Arastiadi, Ph.D. as the OJK Executive Director with the topic of the banking merger and acquisition strategy in Indonesia.
The Public Lecture was held in the Miendrowo Hall and attended by 100 undergraduate, master's and doctoral students from various departments at FEB Unair.
Mr. Ariastiadi said that the trend of banking mergers and acquisitions in Indonesia continues to increase from year to year, and this is due to the high ROA of banks as well as their large market share. Meanwhile, the aim of mergers and acquisitions is to achieve sustainability from economies of scale and growth in business volume.
The public lecture lasted for 2 hours with a very interesting question and answer session in the last 30 minutes. (mg)
